Negima! 329

Oh god, after more than half a year(?), Akamatsu finally remembers Setsuna. Epic pwnage of Tsukuyomi there!

Back to Negi and Fate…

Oh my god, tsundere Fate. ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \

Uh oh, final boss appearance finally? And he just only befriended Fate after so long…

If he had befriended the other Fate, all it takes for victory is an insert song powerup!

Yep… that is the flaw with the infamous Defeat Equals Friendship maneuver. You can’t beat the Final Boss with a pokemon you just caught.

Anyways, this felt a little rushed. I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing, but I’ll take anything after all this time.

And now both Fate and Shirabe started dissolving into petals – moving into Cosmo Entelecheia?

    tsundere Fate is so moe

The whole arc is kind of stupid at this point… it’s so convoluted. How many “hidden masters” are there in this manga?

It’s HIM! The one Nagi defeated, the LifeMaker… wasn’t he DEAD?!!! What the hell?

Well. Months after the predictions of Tsundere Fate -_-

    I don’t even read Negima but I love tsundere boys… that’s a boy, right?

Am I the only who thinks that the ending of the Setsuna vs. tsukoyomi fight felt really rushed. It didn’t give me the feeling of “YEAH SETSUNA WON!!” it was more like “……what the hell just happened?”

they explain a few chapters ago that the LM won’t stay dead. But is currently seal under Mahora.

Hmmmm… wild mass guessing here… Asuna!?

  12. OverMaster Said,

tomphile hit the nail in the head. At this point, I just want the arc to end up already. It’s becoming a parody of itself, and it’s frankly annoying.

@tomphile: Eh? What other “hidden masters” are there besides the Lifemaker?

  14. OverMaster Said,

    June 25, 2011 @ 5:55 am

The extra Averrunci certainly were supposed to be master-level power-wise, even if they’re mooks in personality terms. Bottom line is there are too many shock value bad guys coming out of nowhere to count as anything but Diabolus Ex Machinas anymore.

  15. MegamiMiko Said,

    June 25, 2011 @ 6:49 am

The Lifemaker’s been the designated final boss all along, he’s more than just a shock value bad guy.

  16. OverMaster Said,

    June 26, 2011 @ 10:59 pm

His appearance *right at this point* IS a shock value move.

  17. MegamiMiko Said,

    June 27, 2011 @ 3:07 am

Maybe so, but it’s to be expected. They couldn’t have Fate stopping the ritual before the Lifemaker even showed up.

  18. Fluffy Said,

It seemed like Tsukuyomi got defeated a little too quickly to get the story moving. I’m glad the Lifemaker finally appeared. He’s the final boss Negi needs to defeat and Negi can wrap his fight with him up. Sure, it would be nice if Negi would save Fate from dissolving into flower petals but at least the final battle can began faster.

  19. MegamiMiko Said,

    June 27, 2011 @ 8:51 am

Plus it was supposed to parallel what happened to Nagi and Primum.

  20. OverMaster Said,

    June 28, 2011 @ 1:34 am

The Lifemaker would deserve an arc of his own. Throwing him into the end of an already weary and overstuffed arc is both a disservice to the story and to the character. And I can’t see why this arc just couldn’t end with Negi and Fate stopping the fight (although I’d have chosen a more climactic way), then going to work on Negi’s solution. Let LM show up to throw a wrench into the plans into the next arc, where he can shine as an actual Final Boss.

And really, I don’t think every detail needs to parallel what happened with Nagi years and years ago. Let Negi have his own story instead of regurgitating elements of the past.

    Tertium memories into Sextum

And we have a tsundere haremnette
