The World God Only Knows II 09

The World God Only Knows

Jun Nagase’s arc finally begins.

To be frank, I’m not a big fan of this arc in the manga either, but it’s a very interesting one because it’s the first one where Keima isn’t conquering someone of similar age and social position as he is. The fun of this arc mainly comes to seeing Keima preach about his “teachers are the hardest to capture” theory and how he manages to overcome it despite the big ‘handicap’ he put on himself.

The World God Only Knows

He certainly IS quite the problem child.

Another thing that I’m excited about the arc is Aki Toyosaki getting chosen to voice Nagase. I’ll unabashedly admit that I’m quite a fan of her now despite her fame as K-ON!’s Yui, since she has well demonstrated her voice’s versatility. So far it’s nothing to shout about, but given the character type, she’s doing decently enough for it. Of course, this is merely the beginning of the arc…

The World God Only Knows

Even Elsie can’t take his eroge lectures anymore…

Not seeing much ‘padding’ getting in to this arc so far, but it’s a pretty long one in the manga itself so that’s not surprising. There should be enough material to nicely finish by episode 11 and probably 12 left for one more filler chapter ending. *Sigh*, the manga only gets much more interesting from here on :(.

P.S LOL WTF at the preview this week having 3D waitress Elsie.

    I agree, and that’s a plus to me…

Still, having Keima playing 2 PFPs and a Virtual PFP is beyond the impossible!

She was Yui from K-ON? I would never have guessed. Hm…

I quite like Nagase though, I can’t put my finger on why though? More mature? Maybe…

Well, she really demonstrated this here: I would never thought, what this should be Yui´s voice. By Pirako on the other hand it´s easy, but there she uses her Yui tone to make Pirako even more creepy!

Uh, what are you smoking? Pirako is Ai Nonaka. (assuming Gintama’) here.

I like how they’re finally tackling Keima’s unacceptance to the real world, even if a little bit. The series gets more meaning because of that.

from what i know she uses “yui voice” when acting for child or childish characters you can see that on kanamemo or sora no otoshimono when chaos is a child
