Negima! 327

Negima!

More Fate/Tertium flashbacks before we head on to the break week!

Negima!

Hm, that’s interesting. No wonder he’s the longest surviving(I assume) of the Fate series. The Lifemaker does have a point, sometimes having too much of a good thing can be bad. As they say, missing the flowers on the roadside for the sake of chasing the stars up in the heavens.

Negima!

Oh dear….

Negima!

Ouch, that sucks. Now I can see why Canon_Rap wished he misread that line….

Negima!

Ahh… so that’s the basis of Shiori’s Artifact power. It’s innate.

Negima!

Even more ouch D:

Negima!

Negima!

Fate T_T….

Man, that last line about coffee tugged right at the heartstrings there. Looking at the spoiler/teaser pics for this chapter, I initially thought it was Fate/Tertium showing off his cruel side, but it turns out to be his character development instead. And Secundum had it coming too. Don’t you hate it when they make the main antagonist such a nice person sometimes?

Anyways, it’s been a while since my last real Negima! post. Honestly I wanted to do 324, 325 and 326 but circumstances just kinda made me lazy to do it. But now that it seems the main scanlators and translator for Negima are joining forces with a more established group and promising much more speedier releases in English, I guess I might be able to resume doing this as long as the partnership holds.

In case anyone missed out, next week is the customary break week for Akamatsu-sensei, so the next chapter will be two weeks from now :|

    Fate… (ToT)
His passion for coffee… it makes sense…
I still feel the flashback is out of place but meh… typical shonen…

Suddenly I recall to how Negi called coffee ‘dishwater’ or something many many chapters ago: Fate T_T

If you actually think about it, Secundum actually seems like some evil cruel version of Nagi on the surface…

…OK… did Ken-sensei just make fate look badass/shypathetic AND cute at the same time? That’s real talent.

Methinks Akamatsu could use some break from sake time with drinking buddy Kentaro Miura(the Berserk guy)….

I think the Lifemaker just copied off Nagi/Rakan’s personalities while minmaxing Secondum.

This would explain the serious business with coffee and tea

    @ Tiresias

Honestly, I can´t remember an other Shounen Manga, where rape is mentioned so explicity.

And Secundum… Just because you work for a good case, it´s no reason to be so smug about it!

Also, I guess Negi knows this story already from Shiori, right?

Now it makes sense why Fate slapped Nodoka a while back (chapter 317) when she told him that he should come to Mahora with them and that she knows a place with good coffee. Must’ve freaked him out that a mind reader was offering him coffee.

Personally, I liked this flashback. I don’t see what’s so bad about it, it’s pretty good as flashbacks go. I can understand that action whores might be a bit pissed because they have to wait 2 weeks before we can get back to the fight.

Does this mean Fate has been purposely drinking 10 cups of BAD coffee every day since then?

well he does make his own brew of coffee for all these years he must have learned something…? unless he is really serious about drinking his own bad coffee

    Just read the Chinese Scans,

What #2 said in the Chinese scans are completely different form the Eng translations. Basically #2 said he enjoy/had fun taking care of the people that killed Shori’s sister.

Nothing close to imply what the eng translation had.

What more likely? That Secundum, who seems like an ass, killed the attackers for no reason, or that the attackers who muredered an entire village also raped the women?
