Hanasaku Iroha 02

Hanasaku Iroha

First child labor, now rape?

Shit gets serious real fast in Hanasaku Iroha.

Iroha 2 continues to explore Ohana’s character in more depth, establishing her as quite a 3-dimensional character. In contrast to episode 1, where we saw most of Ohana’s positive traits, episode 2 shows more of her negative sides. We get to see that while she might be headstrong and independent, she also is able to get mad at others and even tries to get back at them, however small way it might be. Also that ky side of hers too. While I can understand her enthusiasm to help, but sometimes she just doesn’t try to think it thoroughly first… then again, Nako should have taught her properly as a senpai instead of shying away all the time.

Hanasaku Iroha

“You are a shitty mom and even I know it!”

Iroha 2 also shows how Ohana’s mother is a solid contender for QUALITY Mother of the Year already. Making your child cook for you since kindergarten, not coming for Parent’s Day at school despite promising to and further more teaching your child not to believe in others? Yeah, QUALITY parenting right there. I’m surprised Ohana didn’t end up worse than she is now. Poor girl ;_;.

And dammit, that cliffhanger at the end there. I think that novelist guy has some weird ephebophilia fetish for Ohana or something. Oh well, from the preview it doesn’t seem like anything horrible is going to happen, but still….

Ephebophilia, LOLOL. I say he is a p3d0, since Iroha is still a l0li.
Btw, your second screencap made my day. Time to change my old background.

Now I really hate the mother. And OMG mini Ohana is super cute \(^_^)/
Glad that they are still deepening the characters more.

In her defense, Ohana´s mom doesn´t want to hurt her daughter deliberatly and she seems to have a job. But yeah, she has no sense of responsibility.

Still, the novelist is some kind of this snorty brat and deserves a German Surplex for putting the girls in this troubles. However, I don´t think he is pedophil, there is just a coincident with the names.

The true rapist in this show is Ohana! Just look how she attacked this two innocent girls on the same time! Oh, and she can curse you with her words! XDD

Someone on 2ch transcribed the writings. It turned out to be…. yuri between Ohana and Nako….

Actually, this “parenting technique” of not trusting anyone reminds me of Hoshi no Samidare. Yuuhi’s grandpa taught him not to make friends, to not trust anyone. The is closely tied to not relying on others. That’s just me, anyways.

At first I thought this guy would provide a setup for some nice doujins…

Now he’s going to provide a setup for some absolutely awesome doujins.

    @ qwerty
That would make sense considering how he had this sort of embarrassed quilt look on his face. That would be because he wrote some interesting stuff with her as one of the characters. Wow still that’s scary.

Well, it was implied in the first episode that Ohana’s mother is nowhere near being a perfect parent, this episode just shows how bad exactly she is. Teaching kids being responsible and independent is one thing, not giving a crap about them is something different.
That writer was probably afraid that the dirty stuff he wrote was seen and might surface later on, so he made a fuss to make sure it was properly disposed of. Getting free stay on top of that is sure a nice bonus… Still, it’s suggested that grandma has some doubts about his sincerity, so let’s see how it goes.

Yeah, that novelist was super creepy at the end. But it doesn’t look like anything comes of it judging by the preview for next week’s episode.

Yeah, the preview basically killed the cliffhanger. Ohana’s gonna be fine.
