きみでいて ぶじでいて

Yoko Kanno really does some of the most beautiful music around.

My thoughts go out to all the victims of the recent Sendai M9.0 Earthquake. May their loved ones be safe and sound.

Long time since I hear a new song from her. I always have loved and will love her work by Cowboy Bebop, I really hope to see her work once again in one of the next new animes.

Lyrics? Also, was this made specifically for the victims? Otherwise I don’t see much relevance here.

Man, I wish I had some money to give to Red Cross.

I believe she mentioned that it was written for the victims. If not, at least for the survivors in the north east region. The title of the song roughly translates to “please be yourself, please be safe.”

    【English transration】
    I am worried for you,
and the world is worried for you,
    searching for your name

    Together with you
The world is always with you
I’m coming to see your soul

    Your mind, your body,
    Hold yourself in your arms
I pray that you are safe, and please be yourself,
    Till I will see you.

    Beautiful song.
