STAR DRIVER 21

Oh god, Hedoka (c’mon, Hegent + Madoka = ?), that’s scary as fuck.

Well, it was a pretty slow episode compared to the past few weeks. I don’t know why they are slowing down the pace when it’s in the last leg already?

Despite that, I was pretty glad of Kanako getting screentime this week. I’ve really missed her quite a bit and she manages to still be the single most awesome female character of the show. Especially loved her speech to Simone at the end there about being a truly strong person.

And Wako, heh.

STAR DRIVER

Looks like she’s made her choice too. Sugata’s sigh right at the end of the battle with Madoka was quite… telling, haha. Loved how quickly Kanako saw through that as well.

STAR DRIVER

Also, LOL Professor Green.

STAR DRIVER

I seriously wonder what the hell he’s doing to Coma Guy’s feet? Rehabilitation?

Well, looks like the lesbians are leaving too, and for some reason I don’t think I’m gonna miss them. I’d have to say they were too FABULOUS until they were un-FABULOUS. And god, I raged at the 5 second Sakana-chan cameo with Head. I was expecting it to be longer! And Head-less!

Hoping episode 22 is more FABULOUS. Sugata in glasses is kinda… sexy? Handsome? Cute? I don’t know but I hope I’m not turning gay. Also, LOL dinosaurs.

Patients in a coma or unconscious state require constant stretching and massage of their muscles to keep the muscles from tightening up and shrinking, making them unusable. After they wake, they must continue the real rehab to get their muscles back in shape; the massage and stretching are all maintenance in that sense.

Not the best episode of Stardriver mostly odd with that whole half human half mecha combination.

Madoka invading our Stardriver! Kyubey is the true end boss here too?

This is the glimpse of the witch version of Madoka, only a jealous cat named Homura can save her from the claws of QB.

I have to say, despite being horribly disappointed in Sakana-chan’s brief cameo, After Head’s “I’ll get it all back” statement, I’m actually getting more confident that we will, in fact, have Sakana back for the final battle to remind Head of how much he’s lost. Whether she takes a broken and humbled Head back, or serves as his final reminder of all that he’s lost before he’s cast into the Abyss for good remains to be seen.

Also, I have to say I’m slightly disappointed we’re headed for the Wako/Takuto end. OT3 or Sugata/Wako both appeal to me more. There’s just no real chemistry between Wako and Takuto without Sugata to play off of.

This felt a bit Deus Ex Machina. Just saying. But then again, most of the fights in Star Driver have felt rather Deus Ex Machina. Or as I like to call it, Douche Ex Machina.
