Okay, so we got to found out Head’s past via Katashiro. Turns out he got shafted from inheriting the Tau mark and subsequently went and “borrowed” other people’s Marks for his :AMBITION: (idk what he actually still wants and the “he wants to tune himself with the Orichalcon’s powers” thing doesn’t really sound right for him). Anyways, he found himself a willing donor in the form of coma guy Shingo, but got shafted yet again when Shingo fell in to his current state, no doubt due to him being unable to handle Head’s fabulousness.

Oh yeah, confirmed Head for Takuto’s father. So he was Tokio and now he’s Reiji. Hurr. Very symbolic.

Also now that we saw how Tokio basically NTR’ed Sora away from Katashiro, I lost respect points for her. Kinda pity Katashiro as well too.

One thing I’d say this episode could’ve done better was Ginta’s parts. If anything, this episode was more towards the exposition of Katashiro’s character and Head’s past, so Ginta’s meddling in between the flashbacks and talking felt really tacked on. Not to mention he was being such an idiot and a dirty player. Kinda lol’ed when Needle Star ‘helped’ Takuto beat him down.

On the other hand, Tokio-Sora-Katashiro looks to be paralleling Takuto-Wako-Sugata’s relationship a little, although the previous generation’s one ended pretty badly. Interesting though how Katashiro was the one catching Sora and Tokio kissing, while Takuto’s catching Sugata sneak-kissing Wako in the same episode. Don’t know how that’s gonna play out.

Still, Wako’s afternoon nap post is just so cute.

Honestly speaking though, I do hope STAR DRIVER manages to get wrapped up properly. This episode wasn’t really a strong one despite being an important milestone/exposition episode. There about five more episodes to go, so there’s still a lot of time to do things properly. We’ll see. Sakana-chan’s back next week too! (sure hope Monochrome comes back too!)

after seeing this episode i got few words for it.
first – takuto ‘s mum (sora is real b*tch !!) how could she have affair !!
second- tokio is worst chara i ever see so far playing with sora, and his best friend Katashiro feeling and now heading toward gay. he really obsess with getting a mark. no wonder takuto grandpa didnt give it to him.
third i feel so for Katashiro, he kinda “noble” to pretend that is nothing although his fiancees and his best friend having affair. even go to the extent of craft his own eyes out and give away his mark.

hopefully the new trio (takuto, wako and sugata) wont end up like them…

Tokio/Reiji/Head kind of reminds me of myself. Despite being old already, my soul is still a teenager trapped in the Zero Time (Past), still waiting for her return to embrace me on my arms, willing to forgave her for betraying me even have a child from another guy, for love knows no bounds as it transcends in time. Of course, Head lost his heart and still thinks like a teenager.

Sugata steal kiss is far too late with Wako already touched Takuto’s lips, while Keito unconscious rape a few episodes back remains unclear to me not even solved till now, I was surprised she didn’t hesitate to get the poison out of Takuto’s legs after taking a bite from a snake. Furthermore Sugata’s father is a homo, I won’t be surprised if that guy gets raped by a girl which turns out to be Sugata’s mom. Keito is doing the same thing to Sugata. I’m eager to find out about Wako’s parents in the next epsisodes.

Head doesn’t know Takuto is his son, Katashiro’s powers that he gave to Head chained Head’s heart in zero time at the same time he didn’t even age a bit.
Katashiro will misunderstand something and thought that the South Maiden is Sora’s daughter, (he would intervene to protect Wako at the costs of his life0 looks like Takuto would be saved by this situation in the later episodes.

I hope Sakana didn’t turned into a second hand by next episode or hell will let loose.

I’m sort of hoping Sakana-chan left to find Sora, and now they’re both going to come back to set things right, though part of me fears we’re just going to see Sakana in another flashback.

Either way, if we get a reprise of Monochrome, I can probably be happy. <3

Still trying to figure out what way the triangle will go though. I figure it's gonna be one of three ways though.

    1. Sugata gives up Wako so she can be happy/Wako chooses Takuto. Sugata stays on the island to safeguard the Cybodies from ever rising again.
    2. Takuto gives up Wako so she can be with the man she loved all along/Wako chooses Sugata. Takuto wanders the earth having wacky adventures.
    3. OT3, they all live in Sugata's mansion and have sexy parties every day.

I have to admit, I'm leaning toward wanting option 3 at this point.

Very disappointed with Sora’s affair. Especially hated the part where she gave up halfway while reaching for Katashiro’s hand. Also felt heart wrenching when Katashiro was surrounded by the nude paintings of Sora. Argh, what a tragedy.

I’m predicting an ending where Reiji returns to the name of Tsunashi Tokio and leaves the island with Takuto, a happy family reunion between him and sora. Wako follows Takuto and pursue her dream as a singer. Sugata stays at the island with Keito. Keito gives up her dream for Sugata, probably recuperating after losing to Takuto @ the final epic battle.

And Tokio… for a mark… you actually turn gay. -.-ll

I doubt there is going to actually be a “return” of Sakana. The way the coloring looks in the preview seems really bland so it could just be a flashback.

I’m curious is they will resolve the love triangle with another confrontation between Takuto and Sugata. You have Head trying to lure Sugata to the Crux for a while now plus you would have to imagine that at this point Sugata feels pretty much useless since his first phase has gone from their trump card to a fancy light show.

Sakana’s voice actress is apparently in the cast listings for episode 21, so she’ll probably have a speaking role at the least.

It’s funny how close has Sakana’s tale hit to Head’s past…

Yeah they are really pushing the idea that Head could be Takuto’s dad! Really crazy stuff happening, but in a good way! Glad to see more story progression and back story.

    *seconds the facepalm*

How the heck are marks passed anyway? And that Shingo guy is kinda suspicious…
And I kind of lost all my respect for head during that gay instant, also, Head draws tasteful paintings of Sora; hurrr.
Poor Katashiro and I predict the Kiraboshi members will self destruct themselves thanks to the 2 Screw(nipples)Drivers. then Scarlet Kiss can make snarky comments again~

Seeing Sakana chan return (or probably in some flashback is should be great~ I want to see Marino and Mizuno too…

Sakana-chan’s cameo is probably just Head’s first phase ability to stalk girlfriends that he got from Katashiro.

It kind of bothers me. I mean, I knew she’d come back, but i was expecting something much more awesome and unexpected, like hearing her singing in the middle of a fight when all hope’s lost.
