Good job, Ayumu!

Well, blue whales aren’t exactly quite as terrifying as the Demon King or as dangerous as a bunch of nukes, but I have to say a fucking blue whale is totally out of my expectations.

Holy crap, that was badass.

Seriously, even with that 1000%-cute masou shoujo outfit, Ayumu manages to look and be fucking badass. I mean, even with that oufit, Inazuma Kick’ing a fucking airborne demon-kin blue whale to decapitate it is way badass and hell, doing it wearing the masou shoujo outfit actually adds more badassery to it!

Also, Eucliwood’s origins and powers are partially explained this week and it turns out she’s such a powerful Reality Warper she has to kill her emotions and words in order to maintain normalcy. Kinda like Nagato, only a bit more extreme. As for how and why she is this powerful, it looks to remain a mystery for now.

Well, the episode did jump from segment to segment without nary a thought given to transitioning, but somehow, I didn’t find that quite annoying mainly because there was a lot of exposition combined with an appropriate amount of badassery thanks to Ayumu. Plus, the show is already as random as it is right now, but as long as they are hitting at the right buttons, I’m a-okay with it.

And speaking of hitting the right buttons….

This week’s Delusion Eu is Minaguchi Yuko, well known for her role as Akiko Minase. I’d admit it was a shocker, but she does do a mean “onii-chan”. Hell, I’d gladly eat all her jars of jam if she asked me in that voice.

Wondering how’s the next episode going to be like already, this serial killer case is taking quite a while already.

This episode definitely solidified this show as one of the best this season.

On another note, will you consider whitelisting Google Reader for image hotlinking?

@coffeemug: Unfortunately it’s a limitation imposed by my host. There’s too many scrapers and post-stealer bots gunning for my posts to remove the protections put in place for now.

From Eu crying, to Ayumu being a total champion (both when responding to Eu and when fighting the Blue Whale), I really liked this episode.

I didn’t find the episode as hilarious as past episodes but the brilliance that is Eu more than makes up for it. I wonder who will voice delusion Eu next week.

On a side note, Japan should stop killing our whales.

When/if Eu finally speak, she must be voiced by Chihara Minori :D

Damn, it’s the return of Masou Shoujo Ayumu!!!

BTW, I hope delusion Eu will be voiced by Megumi Hayashibara or Kikuko Inoue.

Eu deserves to be voiced by either Ayako Kawasumi, or Ayahi Takagaki, much better if they get Kana Hanazawa or Noto Mamiko to voice her.

Unfortunately, Eu already has a set VA: Tsukimiya Midori as written in every eps ED credits, as well as on the official HP: http://newtype.kadocomic.jp/zombie/chara/

Since there is no wiki entry in the japanese(!) wiki, she seems to be a newcomer o.O

Honestly, my only complaint about this show is that it reminds me just how little testicular fortitude most other recent male leads have had.

Wondering how the reveal of Eu’s sympathetic link to his injuries will affect Ayumu’s willingness to get chopped to bits.

I’m really wondering who’s Tsukimiya Midori is. It sounds like a pseudonym. Eu’s definitely voiced by someone though.

@Organics: Apparently Ayumu should be able to heal himself in most normal “chopped to bits” cases. We’ve never seen Eu heal him prior to him being attacked by the hell-dog guy, who I suspect probably has some special anti-undead/immortal attacks.

That would certainly explain why it wasn’t brought up again, and how they can continue to slap him around like a ping pong ball and still have it be funny. Still, the healing thing explains “Death is painful”. I guess she’d know better than anyone.

Chihara Minori as the real VA for Hellscythe would be win and awesome and moe.

“Honestly, my only complaint about this show is that it reminds me just how little testicular fortitude most other recent male leads have had.”

Erm… Like who exactly? Ayumu is pretty much following the new standard for this generation of male leads- They all come with a little bit of ‘Gar’ as a requirement feature for the Starter kit, no need to download patch anymore.

@Chaos2Frozen: “They all come with a little bit of ‘Gar’ as a requirement feature for the Starter kit”

which is why this season, while not exceptional, is far more tolerable than before.

It’s the same for every season. It’s more common nowadays to find Male leads with the minimum required level of Gar than the cowardly type.

This anime even tops Angel Beats and Ichiban Ushiro No Daimaô regarding the spoiled pacing and the not connected plot fragments. . . .
    But even though . . . . .

I rather have Yukari Tamura voicing the real Eu, as she was very moe in the drama cd.

  17. DmonHiro Said,

Isn’t anyone going to mention the DEAD GIRL at the end of the episode?

  18. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    February 8, 2011 @ 1:08 am

Because the “dead girl” is an obvious red herring?
