Hourou Musuko 01

Hourou Musuko

Hurr, I didn’t realise (s)he was Aki Toyosaki until I checked cast credits and rewinded back. God, Aki’s showing off her vocal prowess a lot lately.

Aside from that, all this show made me feel was how much I missed Rie Fu. Otherwise it was a bit of a confusing opener since I (suprise!!) haven’t read the manga at all. I think they were supposed to be starting at elementary school, not middle school.

Well, I’ll be giving this show a few more weeks. Thursdays are sooooo packed, sigh.

Seiyuu mania splooge anime. All these old school sweethearts in this anime, very attractive package.

Toyosaki is kind of just a bonus side character IMO.

Of course the animation production seems to be very good, so that’s always a plus.

Man, lots of Seiyuu this season are doing so many different voices. Anyway this show is deep and I’m looking forward to where their taking it.
Indeed, my Thursdays are pretty packed as well.

hmm…maybe this plot can be actually deep and interesting…something that cannot be sad for some other shows this season.

    btw, thursdays = death.

I got the same predicament when covering Thursday shows…

But anyway, this anime reminds me of Aoi Hana.

Yeah, they don’t get into junior high until the very end of volume 4. It looks like they’re following the storyline fairly well, but I think that skipping the first 4 volumes is going to make it hard to get into if you haven’t already read the manga as it seemed to me that they just drop you into the middle of the story without any real introduction and make references to previous chapters on top of that. It was confusing enough for me to follow even though I read the manga awhile back.

It looks nice though and rather than confusing I found the plot intriguing with all those kids hiding the trap’s secret.
