This is actually a Kuroneko episode in disguise, despite generally being a Bottle Episode.

But really, LOL DEEN. >implying Nanoha isn’t popular amongst males

Fuck yeah, Kuroneko talking down Chiaki Kon Turtleneck guy. The saving grace of the episode!

Also, character development.

Awwww…. I would be gladly be Kuroneko’s onii-san :P.

Also I kinda wanna watch this. The commander dude looks badass. Also, Zaku with bug eyes, LOL.

So eh, this episode was actually pretty interesting despite the trainwreck of the first half with Kirino going crazy with her requests and stuff. Kuroneko pretty much saved the episode for me, and well, Turtleneck dude was even more rage-inducing than Kirino’s arrogance, so it balances out in the end.

I do wonder what made them go for this thorny topic for this episode. They’ve already pissed off the eroge industry(Sankaku link, you’ve been warned) in the first episode and now Studio DEEN the anime industry as well? Hurr. I do hope it’s also not the original author poking fun at his own anime as well, would be funny if it was though, www.

In any case I still found it funny the mecha anime in the background had more animation than the real story. Are they going to release that as an DVD extra later on? Wouldn’t be surprised it they did. Maybe for ultimate troll, it’ll get a spinoff ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \’

P.S. Whoops, forgot to mention that Kirino’s editor has quite a badass name, Iori Fate Setsuna. Too bad she didn’t get much lines despite being done by Itou Shizuka.

    Exaggerated or not?

I dunno though, wouldn’t you want Kyousuke as your brother~?

Considering how easily he’s pushed in to being a scapegoat and saving your ass, I wouldn’t mind having him around to bail me out a few times.

    @ Gin

…uh?…why would he be upset at the original author? The anime company was the one who decided to do that scene in the first place.

“Bottle Episode”, you say… This has been bothering me for a while. Where DOES the budget actually go? Openings? References? Meruru clips? The most visually intensive clip so far has been Kyousuke playing that doujin fighting game.

52 openings though… I bet SHAFT would’ve just pointed and laughed.

Man, how come Kyousuke is not being awesome on this episode? He could save her work if Kuroneko and Saori helped him.

Even Kuroneko starts to question Kyosuke motives…
    “Are you siscon or masochist?”

If only shaft animated this episode I think it will be interesting.
The only unrealistic thing that I’ve seen in this episode is Kyousuke begging in front of the staff.

YOU CAN’T DO THAT IN REAL LIFE!

The novels didn’t have an anime. It was mostly about her novel being published and it was stolen by an editor who wanted to write her own novels but never succeeded and her brother helped her prove that it was Kirino’s to begin with.

    This was an original that the studio came up with probably to poke fun at the competition? Perhaps this is how it actually happened when they spoke with the author of OreImo for the anime? Who knows? ^_^;

srry for commentig twice. But u know what would be really funny? Kirino’s anime, with Kyou as the main character, in shota version, =D. I would pay for that.

Turtle neck guy:”then its like..How bout we change the main lead to a Male chacracter?”

kirino: “Oh shit..ive been found out!” “this is actually a story about my life in adventure form and my loving wincestual feelings for my brother”

Erm Kuro….Chiaki Kon is a woman.
    *whispers*

Kind of an annoying episode. It was sadly predictable and it pains me to see a character embarass herself inadvertently like that.

But yes Kuroneko saves the day….so yay

Kirino should go Nami-cest on Kyosuke since she already implied there is only one life counseling left with a surprise joke of “Just Kidding”.

She wanted her brother to become a full pledged perverted siscon so why won’t she do a hypnotism trick (started in the late 80’s by Kurumi-chan on her brother) used by Sadist Heroine in MM!! (Loved how a masochist turned into a lolicon, then turned Tomokicchi, in the end becomes a Sugisaki inspired by Mafuyu-chan.

Kirino is just another Karma Houdini Jerk Sue. Like Kuroneko, I was ecstatic when they ripped her apart. I really would have enjoyed it if it stuck.

Kuroneko was awesome this episode. Brutal honesty FTW!

  22. ryvrdrgn14 Said,

Based on Kirino’s ending statement you guys will be getting a lot more Kuroneko soon and much less Kirino. o_o

If they end this in 13 then they probably won’t have to cut too much off to reach the part where the novels currently are. Book 6 could be a good place to end it and still leave potential for a second season or OVA/Movie to cap it off.

  23. ewok40k Said,

    November 24, 2010 @ 2:30 am

@ Phuong: Not Karma Houdini per se…
Kirino just does have Ablative Karma Oniichan Armor… aka lightning rod :P
I’d love to see a world where she is denied having Kyosuke – not killing him off, because he doesnt deserve it, but say sending him to a boarding school on another continent. Or at least another Japanese island.

@Di Gi Kazune well after taking care of sibs all her life, I wouldn’t be surprised. Especially, as Kurogane pointed out, Kyousuke can be shoehorned so easily into bailing ass for his imouto(s).

Loved the ending. >.< KURONEKO GO GO GO! STEAL HIM AWAY!

I am confused now with the most recent episode. It’s already the 9th but it appears that it’s more of a slice-of-life filler (a good one tho) instead of moving onto the plot of book 4 (episode 8 was loosely based on the last story in book 3).

Kuroneko fans will definitely love the phone call part, I’m sure. Now it will either end at 12-13 episodes and be cut really short or will continue to 24 episodes and end either at the 6th book or maybe the 7th (but ending at the 6th book is also alright).

It’s gonna take some super fast-forwarding to get to book 6 by 12-13 episodes so I don’t see that happening. x_x
