Ore no Imouto ga konnani kawaii wake ga nai

Yup, jimichan episode finally. Be happy all the 10 or so fans of her, because she won’t be having much more appearances later!

I just love how Kyousuke describes his relationship with jimichan…

Yeah… that would definitely be a pretty weird relationship if it ever happened. Say, wasn’t there a manga like this somewhere?

Surprisingly, jimichan’s grandparents stole the episode for me…

Ore no Imouto ga konnani kawaii wake ga nai

… yeah, don’t piss off Grandma, she knows exactly where to strike. I also quite liked Grandpa, with all his crazy antics of trying to hook up Kyousuke and Manami. Had a great laugh out of those.

As for Kirno….

… well, that’s just about all her appearances this week. There was also a panties-adjusting scene, but I don’t think anyone wants to see that.

Next week we get fake deito between Kyousuke and Kirno, heuehuehuehuehuehuhewuaheuhe.

No love for Manami-chan I see. Thought all round it was a solid eps. Manami family was fun & the [only, sigh] picture of Manami you posted was a great moment. Also thought Kirno kicking Kyou chair during dinner was pretty funny too. Think Kirno much better when her screen time is less [Okay, that is mean. Kirno ain’t that bad].

Guess I’ll just say it; [BEST EPS. so far]

qoute:Be happy all the 10 or so fans of her

I think her fanbase is wider than that…
I like Manami , if not for any other reason because she’s underdog as childhood friend, and I like megane girls in general. Plus she is most normal of all the female chars so far… (Fetishist imouto, bunch of crazed otaku, and yandere girl… so yeah…)

God, I love this series – that scene where Kyousuke accepts Minami’s offer about the bath had me laughing my ass off. Bummed there wasn’t more Kirino screentime, but Kirino in the bath was HNNNNNNGHHHHH

Score one for the Manami fans!

Well, I like Kirino too and loved the jealousy scenes (and the dakimakura action).

    Best ep so far.

This is the final episode. Death by meganekko is the right way to end it.

And yeah, best episode because of less Kirino screentime.

Jimichan is the only decent female in this show (except for maybe Kuroneko). Why? Perhaps because she isn’t a brat, a bitch, a freak, or just plain insane, and doesn’t have the fashion sense of a prostitute.

    C’mon, I love Manami…

asides she looks cute in the manga, maybe the only thing I could say to her is that she really loves Kyousuke that much. not to mention He tried to protect her when Kirino is going to badmouth her, so I don’t think Kyousuke didn’t like Manami… He is just well too occupied to Kirino.

Loved this episode and loved Jimichan screen time (nothing against Kirino screen time though)!

I liked how they fleshed out the relationship between her and Kyuo in both subtle and hilarious ways. It’s clear he has strong feelings for her, he is obviously protective and possessive of her, and was shown to also blush and catch himself at times when he was starting to notice her “as a girl” and seemed to find her appealing. Now whethere this ever progresses to outright romantic feelings/realization is up in the air (and give she’s the “childhood friend who has always been there” her chances are sadly low).

It’s pretty clear that Jimichan also has strong feelings for Kyou which maybe are farther along in maturing than his. Still, it’s a nice touch and sign of their true comfort with each other that they can both accept the “there’s plenty of time” line Kyou put out and simply enjoy being close friends. It wasn’t a rejection by Kyou so much as a tabling for later reevaluation. That’s a lot better than most childhood friends get.

Well that’s it I’m in Manami camp now, this ep is MUCH better than the last 5 eps of ugh, Kirino? Seriously, I find Manami and Kyousuke to be a much more entertaining.

You know why I don’t quite like Manami x Kyousuke?

Manami and Kyousuke’s relationship develops slower than Belldandy x Keiiichi.

Manami and Kyousuke: over 10 years knowing each other, still hasn’t hugged/kissed etc. etc. Even Kyousuke denies he loves her.

Belldandy and Keiichi: After 6-7 years (the timeline in the manga), they acknowledge they both love each other and have at least kissed a few times.

I was friends with a girl for longer than that and nothing ever happened between us though there was mutual attraction from time to time. In the end we both went on our separate ways, I think she’s married now. I like to see OreImo being lifelike in at least one regard.

In my experience, growing up together isn’t all that great basis for a relationship. It feels like it’s halfway incest already.

  16. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    November 8, 2010 @ 7:39 pm

Yeah well, if they grew up together like that, it’s pretty normal for Kyousuke to think of Manami as the kind, friendly “Grandma” that got magically turned in to a 15 year old. Plus, guys, Westernmarck effect! Although it might be pretty hypocritical of the show to do it to Manami instead of Kirno though.

Now tha Manami fans rally is over, i must admit Kirino was cute when going tsun on hapless door in absence of her usual punching bag… and bath scene was real splash!
Now can someone make a dakimakura of Kirino with her dakimakura?

  19. ahelo Said,

  20. Benigmatica Said,

Great episode, still very lonely to Kirino when she has her dakimakura!

Now for those sick bastards who hates Manami, just don’t make her a second-hand girlfriend as told by Aria Shichijou.

  21. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    November 9, 2010 @ 12:07 pm

    @Smuglord: I have my sources :P

I still think Kirno kicking Kyousuke’s door and chair was more childish than cute though. Obviously she just wants to show off her new dakimakura in to Kyousuke’s face rather than actually just wanting to see him.

Also, lol, dakimakura of Kirno hugging a dakimakura. Sup, dude, so I herd u liek your dakimakuras so much that I put a dakimakura inside your dakimakura so you can daki makura while you daki makura?

  22. ewok40k Said,

    November 9, 2010 @ 2:46 pm

Well, I like the irony (no pun intended) of having a ronery character huggin her dakimakura on my dakimakura – btw I dont have one yet, and I dont think I’ll ever will have. Plus I can imagine that if I ever meet Kirino we can drop the dakimakuras and just hug ourselves.

  23. sadakups Said,

    November 9, 2010 @ 4:23 pm

@kobester: Because Kirino’s an annoying bitch. And you know it.

I must admit, I´m also one of those, who prefer Jimi-chan to Tsundere-Imouto as character. And I ship Manami and Kyousuke for the “Warm And Fluffy Good End” factor…

But yeah, dramatically speaking this pairing has NO conflict potential and – maybe through the aforementioned Westermarck Effect – there is no interest from Kyousuke´s side to change the actual situation. This guy just want to keep things as they are and hates change, despite being adaptable, how we´ve seen.

Or how some German Comedian once explained: “The most appealing part of a woman is in fact not her look. It is the question, if you know her or not! A somewhat pretty, but unknown woman is always more attractive than the most beautiful woman in bar, you already have slept with!”
