Hayate no Gotoku! 290

Hayate no Gotoku

Hurr Miki, that’s a really dangerous bomb you’re going to pull off there….

Anyways, Nagi gets a dose of reality in this chapter. I mean, it’s not that I find her annoyingly hateful, but this was bound to happen sooner or later…

Ahh….. it always hurts doesn’t it when you think you’re good at something and you might just be talented enough in it, but then reality slaps you in the face and tells you how shitty you were?

At least, Nagi has good people around her. Crowning moment of heartwarming here, guys. T_T

And not to forget Hamster Nishizawa too. She’s such a good girl (´∀`)タハー

Yeah… it’s been a long time since I last blogged HnG manga but I thought this chapter was profound enough to talk about it. It sure sucks for Nagi, but I felt this was bound to happen sooner or later and she probably had a pretty better experience in doing so instead of getting it from backstabs or gossip. It’s also hard too, because the realization just hits you and then you really feel terrible.

It’s lucky she has really good people by her side too. Maria… Hayate… even Nishizawa as well to cushion the fall a little. We’ll see how this develops from here. Good to see that HnG isn’t just going back in to a one-trick-pony-a-chapter manga.

Speaking of which, I kinda want to see more of Hinagiku and Miki. Heck, where’s Izumi?

I do like Nishizawa, but is saddened by so many people scoffing at her ‘mundaneness’.

That was a really nice chapter ;A; GO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
And yeah, maybe I should pick up HnG manga and get my dose of Hinagiku that’s been absent for a while ;u; I’m still bummed she was knocked out in Saimoe, there is no Saimoe now after so many good knock outs.

It was better that she realized it herself, rather than being told at an event. That, and the varying expressions other than glares, frowns, or smugness. Nishizawa doesn’t seem against being part of a ménage a trois, judging by reactions here. Also, Niven to see Azumamiya get a bit of development, like Wataru did.

Also, I’m with Miki. But I’d ask first, even if Hina said “no”.

Hinagiku is gone fishing with the rest of the gang, I know Japan Saimoe shouldn’t be discussed here since Kuro is no longer interested on it which still plagued with fake votes and tactical voting.

Nagi is all alone in the final eight. Will she win this year to prove she can do something useful with the support of her fans. Reality really hurts but its better than wasting any more time making yourself believe you can do it. Those taken course in college that having a hard time, makes them shift due to their incapability in the certain course.

I know exactly how it feels to take pride in something and then realize you are actually terrible. It’s surprisingly hard to find people to tell you that you suck and you can trust them. The internet is a troll and real life people find it akward. Oddly, it’s one of those things that are hard to accept.

Gin: Except everyone SAVE Isumi was telling her early on that her work was confusing (see the manga contest chapters), and she didn’t win awards… but then blamed it on everyone else not recognizing true genius. It wasn’t that others weren’t telling her the truth, but that she wasn’t willing to listen until confronted with it in the face of a real professional mangaka’s work. Remember how defensive she got when she thought Nishizawa would tell her that she sucked, the way everyone else did?

So at this point, she can’t hide from the truth – she’s not a genius at manga.

Somehow, I really feel for this line. Sure, you can be just a pessimist and keep thinking that you’ll never amount to anything but that’s no better than an optimist who keeps on failing anyway.

Just my 2 cents anyway. :D
