Ichiban Ushirou Daimaou ends

Ichiban Ushirou Daimaou

Hurr reset ending. I thought that would be happening.

Well, I guess it wasn’t terrible at the least, since they did had quite a bit of fun with everyone in the end, so let’s recap it a bit first…

Firstly, Akuto’s finally realizes Junko’s feelings..

Ichiban Ushirou Daimaou

Although he still doesn’t quite ‘get’ it.

Ichiban Ushirou Daimaou

Man, this part was kinda badass win.

Ichiban Ushirou Daimaou

Riri nearly stole episode 11 for me. Holy shit can we have a spin off or OVA focusing on her? I want to hear more of smexy, rubber body Ryou Hirohashi.

And this is why Riri didn’t totally stole episode 11 for me, Junko’s awesome sword-pulling declaration. The only thing that would’ve made it better would be her bitch-slapping Teruya.

Even got some gay scenes also!

Maa… in the end, Ichiban Ushiro Daimaou is a show priding style over substance and is partially successful at it. Sure the storyline was pretty much written by a bunch of drunk monkeys pulling shit out of random sci-fi and fantasy light novels, but all in all, their way of doing crazy and doing everything over-the-top actually manages to reach and break through the “so-bad-it’s-good” threshold. As long as you don’t really pay attention to the plot and focus more instead on Akuto’s manly body and intense “maoh” eyes, this show is pretty fine. Would’ve been better too if they animation quality was a bit more consistent though.

Anyways, half the fun of this show is also thanks to Sphere’s REALOVE:REALIVE OP, which totally kinda fits the whole “style-over-substance” aesthetic. Overall, not a show you should be taking seriously though, but quite fun when you’re pretty tired from work and just want something stupid to watch.

Okay, I am running out of shit to talk about this, so I’ll end it here.

Liked: Yes, great run of style.
Rewatch: Wouldn’t be adverse to it.

The thing that’s great about Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou is that as a viewer, you can recognize every single problem with it. But I enjoyed every minute with it none-the-less. Mindless badass-ery.

One of my readers has read the books on which the series was based. These 12 episodes covered the events of fully five books, and they’re not small either. Evidently the books include a lot more exposition and plot which causes things to make a lot more sense.

Heh hey even without too much substance this show was awesome. If you actually bother to think about the story, you’d realize it’s not all that bad. Most people just kinda skip over the details of the story so it seems like random shit, but that’s not really the case. Although who the hell is going to pay attention to sci fi techno bable about Gods and resets when you have boobs flashing in your face? XD

    Sai Akuto is badass.

That´s what I´ll be remembering from this show.

Who cares about story when you got a guy who is so badass he can regenerate half his body, head included from being blown to smitherens?

If he just were a little bit smarter he would have been great. Now he is only badass :p

I liked this harem series. But I think the jewel of the stable was the Green Haired Andriod. I think the creators maybe wanted me to pick the sword weilding blue haired chick, and she was indeed second for me; however, the “Love, misunderstanding, hate, strike” cycle got a bit old after awhile with her. I guess it was the humorous series of cosplay she did a couple of episodes back that sealed the deal.

I have it too much. Perfect story, nice graphic design it’s what makes this anime irresistible.

I admire your ability to get through this show. Being a huge fan of the directors other work, I tried, but gave up after the second episode.
