Arakawa Under the Bridge 04

Arakawa Under the Bridge

… pretty much describes the show. Again.

This week we are introduced to two more inhabitants of the riverbank. First is Stella, one of Sister’s acquaintences…

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Aww…. isn’t she cut—

Or not. Aiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!!!

Arakawa Under the Bridge

“Only” up to 3-hit combos?! Holy shit, I don’t want to see her going all out on me now.

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Uh, yeah… definitely not that cute anymore. Mama, I’m scared ;_;….

Okay, maybe the next person will be nicer….

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Yeah, doesn’t she look really beautiful and kind? (Not to mention she kinda reminds me of Sheryl Nome, lol)

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Did… did….did she just tell me to fuck off and die?

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Oh god, she’s even doing that to Sister!

Holy shit, Sister went down. I repeat…SISTER WENT DOWN!!!

Oh wow, that was a crazy hell episode of Arakawa. Geez, and I’d thought we met all the weirdos already. I guess I was expecting wrong.

Stella and Maria are voiced by Saitou Chiwa and Miyuki Sawashiro respectively and oh boy oh boy, both of them are sure leveraging their vocals in an extremely mad way. Chiwa’s Maria is an equal blend of her normal cute voice crossed with the crazy psychotic tones she can take, while Miyuki Sawashiro is insulting people so utterly in a voice so elegant it really, really makes you wanna just eat shit and die.

Poor Rikku.

That little girl is Shin’s worst nightmare; he hits on her and gets beat up for his sins. And she’s not the meek ‘oniii-chan’ calling type. She’s like a mini-Senjougahara.

And Maria’s goddamned hot when she tells you off.

Shaft is really having way too much fun with this show.

“Mini-Senjougahara”? Hell, no. Stella’s obviously a Melty Blood/BlazBlue/(insert favorite fighting game here) character, more like.

And Maria is what you get if you had Miyuki Sawashiro voice Lacus Clyne, using her Evil Bitch mode.

..Why the fuck am I not watching this? EVERYONE HERE IS FUCKING NUTS!

Also, I think Kou belongs here – because of his family being as crazy as everyone else under the bridge. His Dad’s ‘training’ of him at the age of three for example… or his own ‘when she’s in normal surroundings, she’s actually cute’ thought in Ep 2.

Stella Senjougahara is cute in a crazy way… a lot like the original. And Maria… yup, cute and vicious. Like a cow-tending version of Matsurika.

…and still, the weirdos can offer more…HAHAHAHAHAH!

Wait, did he say a normal can last 3 strikes?

  13. Haesslich Said,

    April 30, 2010 @ 1:21 pm

xxx: No, just that you should ONLY use a three-hit combo on normals. I guess this means Iron-Mask can survive a five-hit combot.

Also looking forward to seeing who the redhead and the hot brunette are.

Yeah, there’s still the two of them that’s not been introduced yet.

Oh god, can this show get even more nuttier?
