A-tan!!!!! わ~。°(°´д`°)°。~ん

And so, Athena and Hayate’s “End of the World” arc is resolved, with a tearful confession and subsequent farewell. I truly feel it was rather sad and a huge sacrifice on A-tan’s part to let Hayate go back, but well, love is..

Of course, there’s still a bunch of unanswered questions and Hayate’s missing older brother to expand upon, but for the time being I guess this will wrap up the extremely dramatic vacation arc of Hayate no Gotoku.

To be honest, I wonder how Hata will handle to the transition back to the comedy mode. Or will he continue making Hayate no Gotoku a lot more serious than before?

    oh god this chapter was ;_;

    worthy conclusion for a worthy character, like I said before, its not often you see someone from a harem win yet not claim the prize

    I think I know. He will first resolve Hinagiku’s thought about A-tan in a very Hayate no Gotoku-like way (through misunderstandings and etc.).

    And bring me the delicious sweet Hayate no Gotoku! I don’t want anymore drama.

    Best way to sink a ship ever, Hata!

    While I´m sad for not seeing AtheneXHayate anymore, I still hope both of them meet again for a little small talk. ^^;

    But well… Let´s see how things will turn out now, after Nagi smashed the stone together with her inheritance.

    We Negima fans welcome HnG to the ever growing shounen action comedy harem SRS BSNS genre. ^_^

    Nice way for the author to get an ending for A-tan without being later assassinated by heartbroken Hinagiku shippers.

    Isn’t A-tan still the (was it chairman?) of the school? So it’d be quite possible for them to meet there again.

    I don’t see where the difficulty would be to revert back to the main storyline.

    Seriously, we have a full reset already. The End of the World arc ended the way Hata wanted to end his initial story (Royal Garden was suggested first, and rejected). Just imagine a big happy ending instead of the split and you have the first story completed.

    There isn’t even anything left to resolve. We’re now gonna be back in normal mode.

    WHY MANGA GODS!!! WHY!!! Noooooo T_T I DO NOT WANT THIS ENDING!!!
    That aside I am depressed now. Come on now! They both still love each other, why must it turn out this way!! (I know deep down its to continue the series) The author better make this up to us. I do not want a Nagi ending. No one will replace Athena in my eyes.

    maybe A-tan will greet Hayate in Japan first thing they arrive? (more of turnback to comedy) but it seems very unlikely.

    If some of you people (those who hadn’t seen chapter 266) there might be some answers on what is the aftermath of this event…

    I honestly thought she was going to die somewhere in the series. Because in the end, the series IS Hayate x Nagi as Nagi is the main heroine. (Although Hinagiku is squeezing in there as the most popular char) Anyway, first love never works kinda deal. I love this pairing, but I also find it good that they did broke up for plotline sake.

    HayatexAthena ran its course. You can blame it on Hayate for being ignorant about his parents, which was the reason for the end of the relationship. Lately, it’s gone back to the comedy we all know and love.

    I did a look at Hayate and how certain people’s bad luck is nothing compared to his. You can take a look at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/749710603/hayatenogotoku
