Studio Deen completely failed at this episode. I’m royally annoyed at their supposed “trimming” which is more like cutting the whole of Umineko into half via the centre.

I’m so glad I got the game myself. It’s well worth it. Oh and d, the airport scene was necessary. I watched the anime first and finished the first arc without knowing even who Gohda, Kumasawa, Kyrie, Rudolf and many other people are. You have to get well introduced to them first, or you won’t understand a thing. After I finished the game, I could well memorize everyone and every order they died and the way they did, and it really will help in solving the mystery.

I doubt if anime viewers will understand the whole thing even after Chiru is finished without rewatching the entire anime at least thrice. And they still probably won’t understand the whole thing.

@karuroso: In the game, the act Beato pulls is way much more believable since it’s more gradual. You seriously won’t suspect anything until the final moments of the act when you’re forced to sign the invitation to the Golden Land.

@d: Your loss for missing out what is most probably the second most original and imaginative visual novel to be released this decade.

I have no idea what people do, but the visual novel, unless you buy japanese game and apply the patch, you won’t get the whole game, the demo is only episode 1. And one thing I totally agree with Studio Deen, who cares about the characters or who died or the whole stupid mystery, just fill up the screen time with the witch fights, beato-troll, fighting girls, etc. Much more entertaining. I hate visual the novel, the whole airport scene takes like a freaking hour to get through (I gave up after 5 min), the art is crappy, the lines are cheesy, corny, stupid, etc and I don’t give a damn about the characters. It will be good if this was in NOVEL form, cause then, I can just, you know, skip right to the good part, instead of mindlessly pressing a mouse button, watch crappy art, and reading crappy lines.

Since the beggining i suspected this was a lie, was it the anime fault? because just from nowhere Beatrice started to be all moe ,kinda hard to imagine someone living through many years killing etc starts to change like that õ.õ and Virgilia saying magic was to help people was what made it even more unbeliveable…
