Goddamnit Nagi! That might be the ‘proper’ choice but is it the ‘right’ one?

God, Arika-hime’s story is more heart-wrenching than I thought. I find it truly saddest that people misunderstand good intention and sacrifice of others for the gain of their own self-deceit and glory.

Nagi better save Arika-hime in a Crowning Moment of Awesome next chapter!

Ah, crap, you went and did it. That’s the rest of my day lost inside TV Tropes.

But yes, CMoA incoming. Either that or the flashback stops here.

You don’t call her Arika-hime, Kurogane. She’s a QUEEN, even though FORMER. She must be addressed as QUEEN ARIKA, and bow down to her majesty.

Anyways, Nagi better go save Arika before he goes missing or else I’ll /wrist.

    And where’s my candy, Kuro?

From what Tosaka said in 257 I’m sure most people knew that “Arika was behind everything” was a lie.
Also, I bet Nagi is strong enough to survive in the valley even without magic.

Queen of a country. Held Prisoner. Abused. Sounds like doujin material to me. Good thing this hasn’t been animated, or else we might get some really sick doujins. Also, her sacrifice sounds a lot like Lelouch’s/Archer’s had it actually gone through.

Her sacrifice is just exactly like that of Lelouch from Code Geass and Strausse from Record of Fallen Vampire who spent 1000 years forcing all hatred upon him so that both humans and vampires will get along as they both have him as their common enemy.

Although considering The Common People seem to believe that Arika is still the Greatest Queen Ever, this seems more like hatred concentrated in official records and among the higher-ups, rather than hatred all-round.

I get the feeling that if there’s some sort of revolution from the proletariat, Arika’s name would be the chosen banner… that, or the name of her son…

It’s a pity we until now do not see Princess Asuna In that flashback but only heard about her name.
