What the fuck is with the scanlations for this manga? There are giant holes all over the place, and it skips upwards of twenty chapters sometimes. Sucks. :(

DrmChsr0: You’re missing the context. Hina didn’t confess to Hayate yet because she fears that she’ll be rejected since she’s no weak (better translation would be “frail”) girl. However, by bizarre coincidence, Gilbert is picking Hina as “weak” girl, and Hayate happily encourages Gilbert to pick her, since he knows how sporty Hina is, and thus is essentially guaranteed to win with her. That’s also the reason for Nagi’s laconic “we’ve won”.

Now, Hina is pleasantly surprised and very happy about this, because now she thinks that Hayate REALLY believes her to be frail and weak (as opposed to her fear). So she doesn’t object and just meekly-happily plays along.

(I hope we’ll see the next 2 chapters scanlated soon. They reveal ALOT about Hina, and what drives her.)

@Mentar: It’s a bit of an in-joke amongst the people I watch Kampfer with, since all the girls in there are all in love with Natsuru (either male or female forms in some way). Btw, Sakura is the ‘whore’ and Akane is the ‘doublewhore’. I guess you don’t need to guess who’s the ‘eunuch’, right?

although I did laugh as well I was a little disappointed they picked Hinagiku as the center of attention yet again. I understand this was an earlier chapter before the entire Athena deal but I seriously would’ve liked Maria being picked, im sure she would’ve filled the same role just as nicely.

Oh well for now I’ll enjoy this while I wait for ch 247
