HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH again

I think the burning question this episode is… “What do they feed lolis in Russia?”. So far, answers have included the Sandvich, the Sandvich and the Sandvich.

Oooh look! Twins! Evil-looking too!

And Mao’s back to enlighten us about the virtues of a proper back-up system. I think he’s much cuter in the form too!

The best part of the episode has to be this….

In Soviet Russia, loli SHOOT you!

Mini-Nanoha much, eh Suou? That solves a mystery on how she was gonna carry that gun around. Pretty damn convenient, plus she can just Trace her bullets out of midair. We shall see how many people Suou will ‘befriend’.

Also, for those curious about the rifle, it’s a PTRD-41 (thanks, Hangmen). This site has a number of pictures of the real-life counterpart. BONES even got the bullets right too.

Her power is terrible and unoriginal… not that Hei’s wasn’t, but I thought it’ll be super cooler like LASER lol. Her power is to miss people with a few cm.

Interesting. The PTRD she’s holding in episode 3 appears to be more accurately drawn than the one seen in the intro. The muzzle brake in this episode is different than the one seen in the intro.

Lol, her power is like a combination of Archer´s and Nanoha´s, nothing can go with this setup! XDD

And to be honest, I like the idea of Hei being just a normal human again!
Now the fights will be a little fairer. XDD

    I just realized but…

In the preview, did Hazuki just make a rape face about Kirihara…?

Shit, KIRIHARA! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Hey, the thought just crossed my mind…is Suou a Contractor or Moratorium? Seeing as how she kinda snapped to start using her power…but still having to pay her renumeration…

And also, her power is sort of shadowed by the earlier hunting trip scene, no? But an anti-tank rifle materialising from the meteor fragment no less…what happens if it got separated from her? Perhaps the fragment grants powers temporarily?

So many questions…so many more episodes to go through…

Hei suddenly can’t use his powers, and all of sudden Suou got contractor powers. Looks like his powers got transferred again.

If the weapon comes out of her, then it reminds me of Arika – Mai-Otome xD

My only question is that… “What the hell happened betweek Yin and Hei?”

  13. Orcinus Said,

I think that thing with Yin is a stylized depiction of the overall finale of season 1 with all the deaths and stuff.

  14. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

@Orcinus: It seems that something happened in the year after the Tokyo Explosion that resulted in Yin disappearing. It’s being covered in a manga, Darker than Black: Shikkoku no Hana, which still has them as a pair.

Is this the loli blond twins season? They’re in Nyan-koi and Kobato as well.
    But hey I’m not complaining!

Suou’s powers wasn’t as impressive as I thought it would be

Ouch, sure as heck don’t want to get hit by that big a** gun. Kinda intrigue by what ace1262 said. Betcha it got to do with that necklace(meteorite?) she is carrying around.

  18. chaostangent Said,

    October 27, 2009 @ 7:52 pm

The thought occurs that even if Suou did miss, the size of the rounds and muzzle velocity of the gun would still cause serious harm? Arguing physics in an anime though… ‘Praps not.

@Kurogane: I thought the period between the two seasons was going to be covered by OVA episodes included on the home video release of this season? Is the manga canonical?

    @chaostangent: Unless they retcon it.

Why people all around the world are so full of stupid cliche about Russia when 90% of this is not true? I was hoping that Japanese people, due to the fact of close neighbourhood know a little more about us, but no use. When will the world realise that we do not wear ushankas and other kinds of such hats (with the exception for old people), that communist regime collapsed and there are no bears walking down our streets?! That Russia is not that badly militarized as you think?
