A Certain Berserk Yuri Teleporter 01

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

Fuck YEARRRRR KUROKO!

I am noticing a disturbing (or welcoming?) trend in the “To Aru…” series. The supporting characters are more interesting than the supposedly main ones. Am I the only one to think of this?

As for the general impressions, started off pretty well I think. Good exposition to the setting + characters, acceptable amounts of action and badassery by Kuroko and Mikoto, and most importantly, unbridled yuri fanservice by Kuroko.

only my railgun sounds pretty good too. Nanjou Yoshino (SUGOI! SUGOI!) might have a good career as a singer.

Liked: Yes
Watching: I already made a fucking category for it.

Teleporters are the best. I’m still a Nogami Aoi faithful. :(

You aren’t usually wrong, but thinks Kuroko is the main character here as well? So, railgun is not gona be like index, hopefully in more ways than one.

I like that they gave Saten a bigger role in the first episode, considering what ´ll happen with her later.

And yes, Kuroko is one of the main characters here.

But on the other hand: You will be surprised of the Touma in this spin-off!

Not bad at all. …Not my cup of tea, but not bad at all.

Supposedly it gets more awesome later, so I’ll definitely stick with this one. Nothing else to watch anyway.

I only found Kuroko annoying but easier to stomach than Index…guess that’s an improvement. The shower scene went a bit over the top imo but that’s the first ep fanservice for ya.

Couldn’t agree more, this is why I’ve been looking forward to Railgun for a while ^_^

Kuroko engaging in yuri antics once in a while is funny. Doing it every two minutes is a little too much. And I’d rather watch her beat up thugs.

Kuroko isn’t a supporting character in Railgun, she’s the MVP. And definitely on par as second lead heroine. Some major parts of the story revolve around her as primary character ;)

(Also, look at the OP – Kuroko is featured prominently aside Mikoto)

    What a wonderful start!

Seeing Kuroko going nutballs horny in Mikoto’s lap was something I heartily enjoyed. I support such actions.

I made a quick estimate about the energies involved in that particular railgun scene. I made some conservative assumptions about the masses and velocity, so the outcome should be rather overestimating the real deal. Anyway here is what I did:
    Mass of car: M=500kg
    Mass of coin: m=10g=0.1g
    Velocity of car: V=50km/h
    Velocity of coin: v=?
I assumed a total inelastic collision with the collision partners at rest after the collision (yeah error here, but it’s not that big and it eases the calculation). Therefore via conservation of impulse:P+p=MV+mv=0 => v=-m/M * v. Putting in the values above this yields a coin velocity of v = -2500000 km/h or about 700000m/s which is still sufficiently below the speed of light. Such a speed equals an energy of about 10 GJ. As she accelerates the coin with her hand she got only about d=10cm=0.1m as a distance of acceleration. The whole acceleration process should therefore take about t = d/v seconds. This yields a power P=E/t of 0.25 ExaWatt which is quite lol. For comparison existing railsguns have vmax of about 3000m/s and energies of about 10MJ.

Hey, I love such estimates! XD

Well, I guess, Esper´s powers work by changing reality (read: changing the natural constants.)
