How Lia vs Beato should have been

Geez, DEEN, how much more can you fuck up the story? At this rate, you might as well skip the Rudolf and Kyrie showdowns and jump straight to the Tea Party. YOU’VE ALREADY DONE THAT MUCH. (╬ ಠ益ಠ)(╬ ಠ益ಠ)(╬ ಠ益ಠ)(╬ ಠ益ಠ)(╬ ಠ益ಠ)

To the Umineko anime viewers, this was how the Lia vs Beato battle should have been. And this is the superior version. I DARE SAY IT.

Sigh, I was an idiot for even expecting something.

    I totally agree…
Okay, I admit that the battle itself is unnecessary for solving the mystery, but still…

firstly, wtf with the spears and the shields in the episode!? i’m pretty sure they weren’t supposed to you know what…..and some how everything that happened this episode were cut in half…disappointing, but still good. :D

I just finished reading the third novel yesterday (you had actually inspired me to read them) and I was so disappointed with how DEEN fucked up this battle. Like you, I guess I was an idiot for expecting something. However, I can’t get enough of Kikuko Inoue’s voice so that was one good thing I got from the episode.

They’re skipping over so much of the fun parts of the third novel, which was learning more about the characters we haven’t really had a chance to get to know because they were always dead on the first twilight. Where’s Kyrie giving her thoughts on the riddle? Where’s Rosa giving the hint to Eva which sets up what happens a little later on? I’m also really fearing how they’re going to handle what happens to Rosa in the rose garden.

@ahelo: You’re missing a lot of good stuff man. Seriously. The anime is soooo cutting out stuff, it’s like trying to tell War and Peace in 500 words.

Remember, they want to get in the dialog as well as the effects. Also this is Studio DEEN. They aren’t exactly known for ultra mega awesome fight scenes.

    Well… what can I say.

I just recently watched the ep yesterday and I can´t say that this version was “better”. It has more content sure, but to me more doesn´t make it better.

The novel version feelt more ridiculous than good. Riding on a horse up from the moon? Come on there has to be a better way of doing it!!

Nice effects and all. But I just can´t say I disliked the anime version. Can´t say I disliked this version either. Both are equally good.

But knowing what is going to happen and then imagining what could be done is bad for you :p If I knew something like this was going to happen in the anime I would have had big expectations and with the end result being as it is then I would most certain be dissapointed. Now when I watched the anime first and then saw this I´m more ok this was left out, but it doesn´t really matter, main objects were still used.

I find it more hilarious to see that the greed is driving the people more than fear of being killed.

Rurouni Kenshin OVA and Read or Die fight scenes are better than the majority of fight scenes in anime period.
