probably you wont feel sad in the end but the game has a quite a melodramatic tone to it plus i still havent read the game yet. but yes its widely accepted its really a good one

Indeed. Akiha not having a proper happy end was most bastardous. Fortunately Kagetsu Touya fixed that.

Well… those things happened in the past so I don’t think it’s that tear-worthy in the present. The guy and the girl aren’t particularly bothered by it. The endings sometimes are sad, but the entire ending arc is BAWWWWW-worthy. So it’s more a “brace yourself for the emotional ending” thing.

Not that I get tearful over these things >.>

Thanks for the info.
Mh, I’m a very emotional type and really get into what I’m reading which results in me getting really sad/crying like a little girl. I don’t see the story as one big part and only adapt the protagonist/heroines point of view so things like Akiha’s ends for instance are not satisfying to me at all and despite being a great overall story, annoy me to no end. Maybe there is some kind of literary beauty in such stories I can’t see…oh well.

Oh and could you spoil me more about these two heroines, what happened to them?
Since I will probably read it anyway I need to know it beforehand unless I want to get too emotionally attached and cry like a little girl again…

Sure, it was a very appropriate and excellent ending to the story. However, I still think it’s sad – and desperately so for the main character and the two most dependant on him :(

Cynical pragmatic type me – not philosophical/literary type :D

P.S. only two of all the characters have a desperately sad past – forgot to mention that.

I wouldn’t call the ending sad per-say; it was appropriate to the story that it would end the way it did. At least it wasn’t a sudden in-your-face depressing like Kira Kira pulled.

It does have a sad end – unless you’re a literary critic or a spiritual/philosophical type.
for mild spoilage – the child abuse is talked about and not CGed. As for your ‘absurdly sad past for the lulz’ content. I say absolutely not in this case: You will discover the reasons as you read through the story and it’s very important for all the characters. (Also, I don’t think Sakura or Kohaku’s past were for the lulz. They underpin their very stories and who they are.)

Despite the sad end I think it’s a brilliant story.

I already installed it and all, but it’s still lying around on my HD.
Even though it got very good scores like everywhere I just can’t get myself to play it… I heard it’s very sad and with no real happy end. In addition to that it’s tagged with “child abuse” in vndb.org which implies something like what happened to Kohaku or Sakura…
Should I still play it even if I have a big aversion against heroines getting raped and stuff? >->
I’m not against drama, but against authors who just give a heroine an absurdly sad past for the lulz…you can establish nice drama without it going to extremes IMO.

Would someone mind spoiling me to clear my doubts?
