I thought the same thing about the Henshin scene, like WTF?
Then I checked the Manga… it’s actually in there, though brief, after they call adeat they’re surrounded by magic energy, then they’re in their new outfits w/artifacts.

Well Kurogane, Sawashiro was Nakane/Black Rose Baron (I believe)/Shichimi in the Negima?! adaptation, so hey. :P

I actually Think that Hiroshi Kamiya makes an excellent choice for Adult Negi’s voice. Has the level of sophistication to make him work, while at the same time has the level of menace under the voice to really bring out Dark Negi. God I wish they would stop with this OAD crap and just make a full anime from the beginning.

Hmm, I never knew there was an OAD of this coming out. I feel so behind lol.
I guess I’ll have to pick this up and see for myself what it’s like.
Thanks for the screens! and yeah, the animation seems to be of a lesser quality, but ah well.

I liked the character designs from the Spring and Summer OVAs and SHAFT’s Negima TV better…these character designs may be more “manga-like” but they just remind me of Love Hina Again, which isn’t a pleasant memory…

Still enjoyed this episode, hopefully they get a bigger budget to work with next time…

^ Well, SHAFT does seem to be suffering. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re putting most of their efforts into Bakemonogatari (replacing all those missing scenes?). Perhaps leaving the Negima OADs to any new employees, if any. And maybe (hopefully), they have a Negima budget saved up for the more important parts of the OADs and the far-in-the-future movie.

Steven – It ships with the LE release of manga volume 27, but it does cost significantly more than the regular edition. You are paying a hefty premium for it, and with the number of units these OAD’s have been shipping, you’d have thought that the production values would be higher.

Are they actually selling this? I thought it was going to be an omake on a manga volume, like Ala Alba was.

Because if it’s an omake, that would explain the low animation budget.
