“Mahjong sure is fun.”

Aaaaaaaand the tournament finally ends, with Saki pulling an amazing comeback with an Chinitsu Toitoi all-concealed pon/kans Rinshan Kaiho with 1 red Dora, taking 32,000 points from Koromo with the special rule. That was possibly the longest and most dramatic tile taking sequence in the whole series so far, but man, that was really all kinds of epic there.

I will definitely have to say… Saki sure is beloved by the tiles, it’s fucking amazing how she got that hand from her initial draws.

Now… what’s gonna happen after this? I’m pretty sure they’ve run out of the manga material, and doing the national tournament seems kinda unlikely with only 5(if 24) or 7(if26) episodes left in the run…. unless they’re gonna drag the show out another season. Next episode preview already is a fanservice episode too….

Looks like the rest of the series is going to be the regionals for the individual competition, now that the regionals for the teams is over.

Maybe… we still have to deal with Saki’s sister… and maybe she’s going to appear next week. Funny to think that Mai Nakahara is Teru.

Six episodes more to go. Remember my words, the series will end with the start of the nationals…

    Saki has her Aibo!

They overdone that final scene way too much for my tastes. I appreciate much more hers “poker face” with slight smile in manga than that maniacal expression of someone affected by psychical disease in anime ;)

About following episodes, there was some japanese magazine scan with titles and description for episodes 20-23 and it looks like they will focus on individual tournament (21+) after pool aftermath (20). With preview and all talks about individuals in last episode it looks like it wasn’t fake.

The last person shown in the preview is Teru isn’t she?
And the titel of the next episode is “Sisters”.
So maybe they will make up in the pool instead of the nationals (so there won’t be no need to show them)

And it seems to be right, that they will focus on the individuels afterwards.

I did not see any preview at all. All I saw at the end is just the photo only. I watch it through streaming.

Looks like they are making up some storyline for an individual tournament to finish out the season, took 19 episodes to do 6 volumes of manga? man.

So who do I owe $10 to again?

Yes, nice episode indeed. I liked how Koromo was all flustered about not getting the 5 man.

Saki’s final hand however was not all-concealed pons/kans (suu ankou), but three concealed pons (san ankou) AND three kans (san kan tsu).

I think this might be the last hand for a long long time, hehe. Cant wait for the fanservice episodes TACOS TACOS TACOS TACOS…

    I can’t believe I’m the first one to say…

    Wait for it…

Last chance to run and hide; this might hurt…

    Okay, here goes…

    Koromo got Poned.
