So I just marathoned the last 12 eps.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAKO-CHAN?! They STILL never showed who was inside!

Also, Nami needs to join Tsutsuji's EMPIRE and start doing more crazy shit while ordering Benkei around.

Kurogane: Yeah Takane needs to get more airtime. Plus the shift from protagonist of sorts to antagonist for Leopard was pretty much unexpected indeed, made the series more entertaining towards the end.

Digikerot: Awesome. I WANT MY TAKANE. <3

the true meaning of the ‘Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo’ moniker

I'm pretty sure the line in Episode 25 about the Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo being the one chosen to lead the ExistenZ into battle against rogue Brain Colonies is probably all there actually is about the moniker, hence why Kagura used the title to refer to Nami whilst she was leading them.

The whole "What's really the deal with Kagura" thing is pretty much what myself and everyone else has been picking up on. Given the nature of the show, it's really hard to figure out if it's just Sunrise screwing with us, or if there really is something more to it. I mean, it certainly wouldn't be the only red herring in the show - Star Sylph's alternate "Phoenix Form", which was mentioned in some promo-material and the second OP didn't actually appear in the show, for example. There's also the suggestion that that Kagura really was just playing everyone, and in fact the Anti-QT blast didn't really do anything to her after all - I mean, even as Aleida she did somehow manage to magically not do anything that was fatal to anyone important (though she did kill a bunch of Takanes ninja subordinates).

Unfortunately, it's probably just a result in the change of senior writing staff as the show went on - the shows credits suggest that Jukki Hanada took an increasingly backseat approach to the show as it went on (he went from being in charge of series composition as the series started, to merely being "composition advisor" as it ended). I wouldn't suggest there was a radical change in series direction, but it probably resulted in the marginalisation of his favourite plot-points in favour of those Tatsuto Higuchi liked, which is probably why some of the subplot resolutions seemed a little rushed at the end. If this meant we got more of the glorious Tsutsuji and the delightfully insane Nami that we might have otherwise, I'm happy with that.

But, again, it may well just be Sunrise messing with us. They did that a lot with this show.

The DVD/Blu-rays actually come with more additional content than just the picture dramas - the booklets for each volume contains a short story covering additional material, running around eight pages a volume, which probably contain more substantial material than the picture dramas do. Just a shame I don't do moonspeak ^^;

Takane is the cover girl for the fourth DVD/BR volume, by the way, which presumably means that she'll get the picture drama for that disk, which presumably also means that we'll be seeing her boobs (not that you don't see her boobs on the BR version of episode 8, given that they demisted the bathing scenes).
