High hopes for Bakemonogatari

Bakemonogatari

Fuck yeah, tsundere stationary war girl! It’s so refreshing to hear Chiwa Saitou to be voicing Senjogahara. I never knew she can put this much malice and terror in her voice.

That was a pretty awesome first episode of Bakemonogatari and the SHAFT-style, although a bit distracting at times, was quite complementary overall to the story and action at hand. Let’s just hope they don’t overdo it and go for a more acid-trip style later on.

Reminds me of a girlfriend I once knew. She would always tease me with a kitchen knife and tell me if I ever cheated on her she would and could screw me over…. turns out she was the one who cheated on me with her TA.

I figured Bakemonogatari was worth a peek when I saw that it jumped to the most searched for term in Tokyo Toshokan. Normally you don’t see that complicated a word in the top ten.

I don’t remember shaft series to be so waited, hope we get some good groups translate it, I don’t want this show to have the same translating fate as Natsu no Arashi. at least the crunchyroll didn’t “license” this…

The opening was admittedly an eye catcher. The stapler scene was O_O

Still waiting for fansubs, I have only seen the trailers, and from them it seems as if shaft are reusing old ideas from szs and ef when it comes to art, and since no focus in them are spent on showing off anything but recycled ideas, I am not overly impressed yet. Well, cannot say anything until I see it, can I?
