Endless Eight

I… don’t really feel like blogging about this arc yet, but I’ll do so for two things:

1. Suzumiya in a china-dress bikini top.

Suzumiya Haruhi

2. Nagato -actually- looking bored/dejected.

Suzumiya Haruhi

Man… it’s really inconceivable how one can actually spend 594 years repeating the same things again and again and again and again. Hurry up and figure the answer, Kyon-kun! I don’t want to see another looping episode again! (Actually when I read this chapter I had a notion that KyoAni might go crazy and air this episode for 15498 times before we got a new one. I hope that doesn’t happen… or maybe it has!)

Also, Mikuru going “Uuu… Lemme think… I have continued to use classified information to contact the future or to do classified information… Urr. I only feel something is wrong when I have had no contact from classified information for a week. And then classified information… Makes me very worried, so I tried to use classified information and the answer was classified information… Uuu… Waa! Whatever should I do…” was hilarious. And jealous Kyon too.

BTW… was it me or was Koizumi more…. er… ‘brave’ than usual this episode? Kyon nearly punched him! (I would’ve done so in fact, if I was Kyon too).

Well, you would also look bored if you’ve repeated the same things for nearly 600 years, wouldn’t you^^

Haha, you’re right- Koizumi was flaming this episode, especially with that weird hug-thing. Also, is it me, or did the animation quality seem to jump back up to around usual Kyonani quality? Seemed like there were less cases of Lucky Star/K-on characters.

Mhm, there must be different teams… This episode war ten times better than the last!
The end was really dramatic and the characters were more interesting!

But damn, there was some fanservice for girls: Namely, Kyon´s Shirtless Scene and being Koizumi more fabulous than ever before!

Koizumi isn’t gay. He just does that to screw with Kyon, who is a giant homophobe.

I’d do this all the time if my friends were that terrified of gays.

That said, this really felt like a Koizumi episode, given how EBIL and AWESOME he was in that park scene.

I really don’t want to see another episode of Kyon/Koizumi with enhanced animation to make them look … cool… Now if it was Haruhi/Mikuru in that scene in the rooftop or when the time traveler was sweted to the point her shirt was see-through… I don’t really mind seeing that again next week… wait… haven’t I already said that?

    Koizumi was FABULOUS…
which is why Kyon should’ve just killed him.

Don’t worry. Most likely Kyon will find the answer in the next episode.
I just want to see what kind of deviations we will find next week. =w=

The awesome thing is that after 594 subjective years of doing the same things, Nagato manages to look only *slightly* bored :O

Kyon x Yuki. DIE FOR THIS SHIP

I’m glad they did the second part of Endless Eight in a different point of view and the animation quality just soared compared to the first two. That really helped a lot. It didn’t look like a recycled episode at all :D

I’m a fan of the series and all, really. The shows are great so far, but the OP/ED songs are lackluster (both of them are fast-paced, it was better to have a slow/fast one like before) and the animation direction of both are plain collages of various images and the oh-so-overused ‘running together’ cast which is used in both OP and ED.

Sadly, for me, season 2 Haruhi OP and ED are fail. KyoAni, please make new ones. T_T

Agh, Kyon is so stupid. Haruhi obviously wants everyone to come up with their own idea so they aren’t just doing a list of her things. I mean, she’s asked “You guy’s wanna do anything else?/Any other ideas?” at least twice in this episode, maybe even three times in the last. Or would that be too simple/cliched?

Haruhi Suzumiya 2 is awesome. I haven’t had much chance to watch many episodes from the 2nd series, but by the looks of things, I have alot to look forward to.

Thanks for the review! Looks like I get to enjoy the series a bit longer. =D
