Hina Clyne

Hayate no Gotoku

Legendary episode is legendary. Hina Clyne’s impromptu performance of Cruel Angel Thesis combined with Hermione’s cross-school dash was what I expected and more.

Climax of the arc will be next week, then I’ll be waiting for the next awesome arc, the hot springs trip arc.

    Oh yeah, that was epic, pure win.

    I also liked how Hina potrayed some eyecatches from the Eva OP, the cool thing was that those movements were made at the same exact time in both songs (calm me a geek, but I’ve to be sure, so I watched both videos at the same time with my DualScreen). Thanks to you I remembered this song was already out.

    Next week will be awesome too.

    Hina Clyne? That’s all you have to say? OMG! This episode totally owned! So…after the next episode this arc will end and we’ll be looking foward to Nishisawa Arc.
    But they really did good job this time, I was somehow shocked seeing Hinagiku singing Cruel Angel Thesis and came out awesome (first I thought it’ll be a little bad).

    Oh, we should not forget our dear Wataru X Sakuya (they sure develop some relationship there) and Kotesu X Haya…Hermione

    @kadian

    Anno is still alive… But I think, it was okay, Shizuka Itō did a great job.^^;

    To be honest, I found this episode more exciting than the new episode of Haruhi or the last one of K-ON!

    Everything worked so perfect!

    This season is amazingly better than the first. Less random waste of episodes, more awesomeness start to finish, and no drop off in QUALITY that I can see. Can’t think of any shows I can say that for.

    @Mentar: Hehe yeah, i know what to expect, but I like more dere part of that scene … maybe because it is one of very few moments where Hayate doesn’t behave like idiot ;)

    Hina Kambell actually came into my mind but yeah, if the cross-over dressing wasn’t enough that Eva theme song just rocked my morning. Impact was even greater as I never knew the song’s actual name so once it started, lets just say I’m glad I wasn’t eating breakfast anymore as I would have spent the rest of the song wiping stuff off the TV. I was also expecting Hayate to somehow produce an AT-field at some point.

    I was also wondering how they pulled it off, are the 2 shows produced by the same studio?

    Nah, EVA was Gainax, Hayate S2 is J.C.Staff. They simply licenced it (they had to it anyway, for the Cruel Angel’s Thesis songs released on CD earlier)

    But what about the mangaka: is he allowed to use the lyrics or does he also have to get the rights to do so?!?

    On another note:
    Just found the first CDs of the 2nd Character Song series and I noticed that the order of the characters has been changed from the 1st series:
    The first 4 CDs of the 1st series were: 1. Hayate, 2. Maria, 3. Nagi, 4. Hinagiku
    And now the first two CDs are: 1. Nagi, 2. Hinagiku

    And I think the new order fits better than the old one, don’t you agree^^

    I didn’t expect them to be able to license it for the anime. I’m glad they could. :D

    Meer Campell suit and star, Hina sings Cruel Angel Thesis?

    Nice work!! Could have been better quality though in the singing department :p But alas, nice work in singing it.
