The Jealousy Yakitate Japan

Hayate no Gotoku

Hayate! Maria! :O!!!!!!!

Hayate no Gotoku

Hayate is so daring!

Hayate no Gotoku

Oh lol, the plant makes an appearance! GJ, J.C. Staff!

Hayate no Gotoku

Seriously, Hayate has no sense of timing or reading the situation.

Yes, I quite agree that Ayumu can be pretty darn cute sometimes.

I’ve never really mentioned this so far, but I’m quite glad the production team this season is a taking a leaf out of Hata’s book and naming the episodes based on his chapter titles. Hayate chapter titles are pretty darn awesome if you get the wordplay and jokes Hata puts in them. In fact it’s one of the early selling points of the series.

So yeah, this episode we finally reach Shiranui’s appearance. For Hina x Hayate and Ayumu x Hayate shippers, this is actually one of the biggest milestones of the romance development in the manga, and I’m glad they didn’t bungle it up. Of course the whole romantic angle of the series gets more complicated from here on, especially when the Hinamatsuri arc plays in later.

Ah… it’s actually getting really hard to choose between Ayumu and Hinagiku sometimes… especially if they continue to do chapters like “More dream-like than a dream” in the manga.

This episode is pretty awesome and so is the 2nd season. But I’m tired of them adapting the manga wholesale, even though the manga is great…

You forgot to say that J.C. staff is now godly because of animating the plant.

    >>But I’m tired of them adapting the manga wholesale, even though the manga is great…

Does it not feel fresh since you probably know what should happen already?

I felt the opposite. There are millions of shows in which they did not even follow the material… The result? Crappy adaptation. I am not saying the first season is a crappy adaptation but there are times when the joke is not regulated and it just fails to become funny… Remember that fanservice episode with a “~tima”? They focused much on the parody that I do not get the jokes in that episode. Remember that Nabeshin episode? It was nowhere great. It is TOO random. (Though, they added an original chapter in that). But of course, what I like in this season is that I can clearly see the character developments. I guess it is one reason why Kurogane dropped the series half-way… So is other anime bloggers. Kurogane only came back on that Hina x Lova and Radical Dreamers.

Bill I couldn’t have said it better myself. So many times have we seen original materials that just fails to impress us. While I have seen all this in the manga it still feels delightful and fresh to me being animated. I am loving this season of Hayate and still getting the laughs that make me enjoy the series so much. Shame it will be short but as long as keep getting Hina fanservice I’ll be satisfied. ^^

Maria (Naru Narusegawa) Hayate (Keitarou Urashima)
    LOVE HINA !!

Looks like Hayate or Maria would do something if only Hina didn’t see them funny thing is the elevator closed before Hina could even say something.

Unexpected answer from Hinagiku and Ayumu ruined the situation well all that matters that plant made an appearance afterall.

Episode 8 shouldn’t be boring with Izumi seems something to do with it.

Good thing Ayumu didn’t bath together with Hina.

@ Bill: it was incredible they are following the awesome manga storyline at first but the lines they say are exactly the same so its getting kind of bland.
They could at least change the lines a little or add in a few totally irrelevant anime only episodes. And the second season has absolutely no link to the first (which I guess the lack of link is precisely because it is Hayate no Gotoku) which had too much characters like the superintendent. But on the plus side, we get more Hinagiku.
