Double shot of Hinagiku and Maria please!

Oh god, they’ve finally animated the legendary chapters of volume 8. Hayate staying over at Hinagiku’s house! Maria in seifuku and megane!

Hayate no Gotoku!

I think a significant amount of fans wished for a “what-if” situation where the scene above is in chapter 1 instead. Imagine the outcome……………..

Hayate no Gotoku!

Hayate no Gotoku!

You (un)lucky sonnavabitch!!!

Hayate no Gotoku!

Hayate no Gotoku!

Hayate no Gotoku!

They made Hinagiku’s mom much younger than the manga. But she is no less awesome as she is in the manga. I would’ve loved to see Hayate in Hinagiku’s frilly dress.

Hayate no Gotoku!

Again, I shall say it… “You (un)lucky sonnavabitch!!!”

Of course, Hinagiku’s not the only awesome in this episode…

Hayate no Gotoku!

Hayate no Gotoku!

Oh god seifuku Maria (manga version here)

Hayate no Gotoku!

And to ensure critical and immediate death, with megane addon! (manga version here)

Hayate no Gotoku!

Oh I can’t wait for the “elevator action” next week. Also, Shiranui’s appearance. I do hope the plant gets some screentime, iykwim.

Still anyone around who feels like bitching about J.C.Staff’s ability to do proper manga conversions :->

Maria is the best female character in this anime. I felt like she absolutely owned this episode, and I can’t wait for the next one.

@Mentar: If the shopkeeper, parrot and plant make their appearances next week, I will declare J.C. Staff as godly.

Hayate ends up being Hinagiku’s personal bro-friend/butler?
    Hey, it can happen…

And… jeez, Hayate, it’s just the bathroom… no need to get weird thoughts.
I do have to wonder if Hinagiku got her hair color from her father, iykwim. -_-

Who cares if her hair color have anything to do with genes, iykwim. Maria + seifuku + Megane = heart attack

I’ll agree with Kurogane. If they manage to input the clerk and the rest satisfactorily I think I’ll die on the spot from too much laughter. =]

So far they are making all the plot points of the manga shine even brighter so I’m looking forward to next week.

I meant the hair color about Hinagiku but somehow my thoughts got blurred with Maria while I was typing. I think everyone can relate to this feeling

    Kurogane: Probably not. They’ve been toning down the 4th wall jokes quite a bit. Also, that’s the kind of stuff that’s much easier done in a manga than in an anime ^_^;

Maria… she’s awesome in her own right. The main reason why I’m not as interested in her as in for example Hina or Ayumu is that she’s on a different emotional maturity level. She’s something for people looking for a kind mother. She may occasionally get flustered, but overall, she is exceptionally stable, and doesn’t really have any defining flaws or ambitions. And somehow, I like flaws in a character ;)

I doubt it. They skipped the mahjong part in this one so I don’t think that they will cover it up. Anyway, I saw the preview already in the show’s official website and it is quite awesome. You should watch it too.

“If the shopkeeper, parrot and plant make their appearances next week, I will declare J.C. Staff as godly.”

Coming from the person who once declared…

“I want to cry. I really want to cry, then beat the hell out of the production team. ”

And you had the nerve to call me a tsundere.

… Wait, I don’t think I got the definition of tsundere correct… must be those damn Japanese people and their butchering of the… Japanese language? Fuck, I’m confused now.

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME ORGANIZE MY FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS? I’M NOT TOO GOOD AT THINKING FOR MYSELF.

Oh, and if indeed, volume 1 had started with Hina instead of Nagi, I totally would have continued reading HnG.

    HHHHNNNNNGGGGGG.

  15. Anonymous Said,

Well they made a DC ~if~ so there might eventually be a HnG ~if~.

  16. Sniperk Said,

    May 10, 2009 @ 12:14 pm

A HnG ~if~ would start off with Nagi dead for over a couple years too? And the indebted butler being the heir? Now that’s something.

  17. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    May 10, 2009 @ 12:35 pm

@Maggeh: I haven’t forgotten about that. But hey, let’s give people a chance to redeem themselves. Also, different director/production teams, etc. etc.

@Mentar: My opinion of Maria kinda concurs with you. She is awesome, but I really can’t see her in the running for Hayate’s heart. It’s already getting pretty crowded as it is in that race, with Ayumu, Nagi, Hinagiku, Aa-chan and a few more people slowly joining in. Maria is just that mature onee-san you go and get advice from.

Man, I can’t wait for the Hina birthday arc to be done.

Prefer Maid Maria to Schoolgirl Maria… though with megane… HNNNG!

  19. boku youna Said,

    May 12, 2009 @ 8:53 am

HNG is primarily a comedy series, so the harem is just a plot device. If anything, hayate will never end up with any girl. the day he ends up with any girl is the day HNG ends as a manga.

Okay so far so good Hayate S2 is really redeeming everything bad happened in S1.

Episode 4 Ayumu – First girl to tell she loves Hayate
Episode 5 Nagi – First girl to ever kiss Hayate.
Episode 6 Hinagiku – First girl to ever bring Hayate to her own home (Nagi is an exception since Hayate is her butler.

With that…. I can safely say Episode 7 would be Maria doing something to Hayate as well (making Hayate crossdress in S1 is not included since I totally forgot the events in S1 except the manga-related parts, and some epic reference)

    >>Meganeshounen

You have to remember that her real parents ran away years ago and that she’s living with her adoptive parents. That leaves the possibility that Hinagiku’s hair colour could have came from her genetic parents(mom, dad) or just randomly.
