Negima! 248

Negima

Negi goes in for the kill. With not just one attack…

… but a whole chain of close range Emittam spells.

Negima

Negima

Negima

Negima

Until he even breaks the stadium’s barrier. Man, both of them really show no restraint and awareness to the fact that they are being watched by spectators.

Negima

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Rakan. He really is the ‘Guy who you can stab all you want with swords but it won’t do shit against him’. No wonder he’s a freaking legend. Are all of the Ala Rubra people this monstrous?!!!

Negima

But in the end… haha, it turns to be a pure fist fight between the both of them. Oh dear god, hurry up and end this!!! We need to advance the story fergawdssake.

Negi officially > cannon fire from Confederation warships.

I remember when that chapter came out people were saying “yeah, right, let’s see how long that lasts against Rakan.”

So, does this raise Negi’s power level to above Fate? ;3

That’s right Negi, cheat up all the high level magic you want, Rakan will always have more HP than you have MP.

It has ended already since Negi was decided winner. The last development is nothing but Jack and Negi both having some fun, especially for Negi since the whole match was nothing but nerve wrecking for him. But this…it’s just some harmless fun.

Next chapter is most likely the epilogue to deal with slave situation, and possibly Negi learning about his mom.

Chapter 250 marks the second story of MW, and possibly the final too.

I liked how they when Rakan was helping Negi up they both were waiting for the chance to punch the other in the face.

I think the fight is already done… And I like this ending very much. XDD

But now Fate looks ridiculously underpowered… Well, he´s a Pretty White Haired Boy, they always have something like the One Winged Angel or like this…

For those of you who think Fate’s underpowered… be reminded that Fate has evaded capture for years as well as being able to take on the whole of Ala Rubra and still escape. In short, Fate is as powerful or more powerful than Rakan, and possibly even Nagi.

Also, Negi vs Rakan is considered an easy match. Both parties weren’t out for blood (well, maybe Negi, since he can’t defeat Rakan w/o truly going serious) and Negi had a lot of time to set up and prepare as well as the advantage of knowing the abilities of Rakan himself.

Also Rakan isn’t a hard opponent once you gotten him down pat, he just charges straight-on and uses mostly physical attacks whilst Fate is probably a master at magical spells. It’d be probably impossible to set up the power absorption trick, as well as Negi having time to complete multiple Chilapl Astrapes chants when they’re facing him…. but then, Akamatsu WILL probably prove me wrong later. Ahahahah

Out of all the ways they could have ended this, I think was the most skillfully done. Notice how nothing is really resolved. Negi is strong, Rakan is stronger. They both have mutual respect for each other, cue warm and fuzzy feelings, it was pretty much this way at the begining. But at the same time, if you ended it with Negi beating Rakan, Rakan loses his importance, and if Rakan beats Negi, the reader feels like he got jipped from a bunch of character developement chapters. This way, Rakan stays a important character in the minds of the reader, Negi moves closer towards his goals, and you get a couple of SWEET action chapters out of it.

    Good timessssss…..

Actually, Kuro, Fate IS watching them, so I think that Negi will try it, but Fate would have seen it already and wouldn’t fall for it. Negi’s gonna have to do a LOT more training and skill/spellmaking, otherwise he’s not gonna take fate out, even WITH Rakan’s help…

Question is… If we’re all dropping our jaws in awe of this fight… Then what’s the Fate fight gonna be like? Here’s to hoping Akamatsu doesn’t pull a Gonzo!

Well, Nagi defeated the earlier version of Fate, and then went and beat the final boss after that.

I think the current Fate is a new/different one (his name is “3rd” after all), who may or may not be weaker or stronger than the earlier one.
