Hayate 2nd season is…

Yeah. They immediately started it off with the Freestyle Marathon arc. And to top it off, they totally reset the series timeline to the original manga, ignoring the “one year or so” of the first season. They’ve gotten it pretty faithful to the manga too. So yes, there’s Hinagiku getting ‘bullied’ by Hayate, ahahahaha~

Hayate no Gotoku

And to top it off, the ED is Hinagiku singing. With a montage of dere-dere Hinagiku shots. Yes. I am not kidding you. Fuck yeah. Looks like the producers have realized the true star of the series, wwwwwwwwwwww. H! I! N! A! HINAGIKU! Added the video here.

Hayate no Gotoku

Hayate no Gotoku

A good first episode, but I’ll reserve judgment on it. But if they continue on piling the Hinagiku on us… I think we might have a winner.

    @ Catrophy:
I think the colors are brighter because J.C Staff has taken full control over the productions this time. Last season had SynergySP doing it.

Yeah, the quality of the drawings and color are much more better than the first season… although I don’t know how long will it last. With such long shows, there’s an attrition rate anyways….

As for subbers, Crunchyroll is simulcasting this show, so you can watch it on their website or if you know how to get the softcopy… well.

I didn’t enjoy this episode much, to be honest.

To me, the production quality seemed off – hayate seemed unnaturally fat at times, and the character design, are for some reason, markedly different from the neat style of the manga’s.

They do seem to be heading in a closer direction to the manga this time round, with the introduction of ayumu’s brother, and the sister, among the new characters.

But the thing with hayate no gotoku is that, the jokes are very funny the first time round, and for manga readers, I think they will fail to have the same impact upon seeing them again in the anime.

More hinagiku, is defintely welcome however – something which this second series seems posed to do.

Thanks for the heads up Kurogane, had dropped season1 as the complete randomness wasn’t really my thing. Hadn’t planned to give season2 a go at all, but thanks to this I did and am glad for it. Man that hinagiku ED is too great.

Her personality it’s terribly cute, to be honest. I don’t really get into that whole iincho thing. And fear of heights.

  23. Role Said,

I dunno about CR… I loved them until they decided to become a paysite… As far as I’m concerned, Shinji is now no better than tazmo.

As for the show… That doesn’t look like a company sub job… that kinda looks like a fansub-style subtitle job… Is this REALLY the CR version?

  24. lord_jagganath Said,

I love it!…. Hinagiku is the best!!!

  25. Akikun Said,

    April 6, 2009 @ 4:12 pm

Well, CR’s not completely a paysite (yet) … You can watch new shows just fine. And you can’t really expect to download stuff without paying, can you? Especially in Europe, where everyone’s cracking down on piracy.
CR’s not all pocky sticks though … Especially in Europe, most shows are simply unavailable. GRRR. And Shinji really removed *everything* when he went legal. Even my favourite Ushiro no shoumen dare, which is simply unknown, even in Japan. Hmpf.

  26. black_sun Said,

    April 6, 2009 @ 6:04 pm

beware, we are infected with Hinagiku virus… (im accept it whole-heartedly ^^)

  27. Role Said,

    April 7, 2009 @ 5:00 am

Downloading costing money I can understand, but just watching? Last time I went to watch something there CR wanted to charge me. Do you see Hulu charging people for its shows, or youtube or some of those other streaming sites? No? Didn’t think so… Yet… why did it tell me to become a paying member before it’d stream vids to me? That is why I consider Shinji no better than Tazmo.

I’d love to watch this, but not if I’m gonna be charged to do so… If only Hulu would pick up more anime than just freaking shippuden…
