Well, it IS moe with guitar. This was sort of expected… Except for the part with eleven fansubs. Damn.

None of those are real, guys.

It’s just fansub trolls doing what they do best. Or worst.

The real question is why a Basara fake had to be thrown in there as well. Unforgivable.

I think I also heard that one of the Queen’s Blade ones was fake too (not that that would be any real loss…)

I think most of those are fake? Although a lot of those groups are set to sub K-ON, just not that fast.

    All of them are fake.

Check CoalGuys’ site for the subs, not TT.

I could say mad Haruhi or Key fans…but so far most of them seem to like K-On..and Haruhi is playing again anyway. And a Key product won’t be really or even wanted until Fall.

Still it is amazing how trollish this is. Make you wonder why this happened in the first place.

This used to happen all the time on WinNy, the Japanese p2p network. Many fake files were posted — some with viruses — even before a popular show came out. Maybe it still happens, I don’t know. There used to be a suspicion that the producers were trying to sabotage WinNy and posting these things themselves. I doubt that’s the case here.

After I posted on my blog about it, just the screens and I few comments on it (brazilian portuguese, so don’t need to bother looking it up), I commented that I would wait for a sub version to post a summary. Then 2 min later my RSS feed caught 2 of these, one from chihiro and the other from coalguys. Since they both where arguing and bickering about this show in particular I started to download them without a second tought. Then, when I looked at the tracker, both of them where posted on nyatorrents. I go WTF? They both use different places for releases, so I go around their sites. Chihiro posted about the troll but coalguys didn’t. For better or worse I stopped both downloads, and a few minutes after that I came across in nyatorrents all of those. Fortunatelly, the guys at nya deleted all of those torrents. Even Baka-Updates had them in the release list.

I think this much troll just come to show how much this show was waited, and someone got to troll it. One of those had almost 1000 seeders already. @_@

I don’t think it matters who or what began the drama. It’s all just a bunch of butt-hurt pansy internet retards having their fun.

I ended up just translating it myself for fun, to see what I can do with my limited Japanese. I’d release the .ass file, but I’d need to run it by someone actually fluent in Japanese. And if that happens.. well, that person might as well just translate K-ON himself. No need for half-assed translations from a weeaboo (me).

Luckily I read this before I wasted any bandwidth!

The person(s) responsible for this really need to be told that April Fool jokes only apply on the First of April! It’s all a bit pathetic really.

/a/ despises anything that is popular, much like school oddballs that try to stand out, so they are waging war against anything kyoani in desperation. It’s a fun watch in itself really.

As of the time the screenshot was posted, all of them were fake. CoalGuys’s sub didn’t come out until 2 or 3 am.

This probably just says that everyone wants to check it out to see, or just groups outdoing another group for boredom. As for me, it comes down to either Menclave or Frostii. Now THIS is a tossup.

Even lucky star didn’t get that many subs. Real question is how many are going to stick with it? Truth be told, the show itself isn’t too particular on the content presented, so the fact that subbers are jumping to sub this is a little… weird.
