The Aeolia Plan

So Gundam 00 finally reveals the contents of the Aeolia Plan. It had a noble intention, just a flawed execution. Koda’s post sums it up nicely. Plus all the crap about the GN Particles and the Innovation process just makes it worse. Suddenly dead people can talk! Like wtf?! Also LOL’ed @ Innovado crap at the last moment.

Coming to think of it, they didn’t properly explain about the “Innovation” thing and what Innovators truly are. My guess is that it probably involves unlocking dormant parts of the brain via GN Particle exposure. Does this mean that GN Particles are a health hazard?

I’m surprised there aren’t any deaths yet. The first season’s high point, was admittedly Lockon’s death. But I have to admit, seeing Lyle shoot Ali in cold blood was rather satisfying. It would’ve been pretty damn ignoble if he died getting shot in the back after showing compassion to an enemy that doesn’t deserve it.

To Aru Majutsu no Index S1 ends

Yes. S1. Come on, with that kind of ending, a sequel is already confirmed. It’s like Shana all over again!

I still think J.C. Staff needs to improve on their pacing and exposition. From what I’ve heard, the original novels are chockful of interesting concepts and theories, but sadly enough, it didn’t translate too well to the anime. For a geek like me, all those magic and science stuff are really interesting on their own, so taking most of it out kinda saddens me, as well as making the show hard to watch. Anyways, what’s done is done.

On a sidenote… FUCK YEAH AYAKO KAWASUMI! It’s been seriously a loooooooong while since I’ve last heard her.

And FUCK YEAH RAILGUN ANIME!

Denpateki na Kanojo 01

Just found the time to watch it. It’s from another novel series by the same guy who did kurenai. Pretty nice OVA and I like the setting quite a lot. I don’t know about others, but it’s been a while since I watched a murder mystery show this engrossing.

Ochibana Ame, wonderfully performed by Hirohashi Ryou, really caught my attention throughout the episode. They really did go the mile in putting the “denpa” trait to her. Having that long hair helped too. Juuzawa Juu’s pretty okay, while Kobayashi Yu put up quite the performance with her yandere role in the episode.

Looking forward to the second one.

Kurogane no Linebarrel Ends

Okay series, just standard Gonzo lame ending. At least it’s not as bad as Sword of Druaga (as I am expecting from episode 11). Kouichi gets to become his “seigi no mikata” and scores with Kizaki at the end (at least that’s what’s implied) and everyone lives happily ever after… though, what’s with the weird deus ex machina (literally) at the end there? Oh well….

Finally, I’d just like to express admiration for myself for actually sticking with Kurogane no Linebarrels until the end. Though I have to add a disclaimer that this isn’t a mark of how shitty it actually is (seen much more shittier stuff till the end before), but as a mark of how I manage to find a free 24 minutes every week to watch this show considering how busy I have been lately.

Er, getting long-winded here, but yeah, that’s all. And Noto-sama was kinda underutilized throughout the whole series.

Biri-Biri Anime

A flyer has announced that an anime adaptation of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun), Motoi Fuyukawa’s manga spinoff of Kazuma Kamachi’s To Aru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magic Index) light novels, has been green-lit. More details will be announced on the official website. To Aru Majutsu no Index has already been made into an anime last October. The To Aru Kagaku no Railgun manga has been running in ASCI MediaWorks’ Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine since the April 2007 issue, and three compiled volumes have been published.

Maria+Holic 10

Damn. Koda ragequitted. Lucky she released 10 as a final parting gift. But god damn, there’s only 2 more episodes left, so I wish she’d finish it off before she ragequitted. It’s not like I can’t watch it raw, in fact I am watching Maria+Holic in raw every single week, but it’s good to have the subs at hand to understand some of the quickfire jokes that SHAFT likes to do in their shows.

Serious bespectacled president-type Kanako is fine too.

Maria+Holic

But thankfully, her core isn’t changed. I can almost imagine her as female version of Kimura-sensei in the future, if she becomes a teacher (and I think she’ll probably be).

Toradora!

Oh wow, that was an awesome ending. I salute the way the director has been crafting this episode to spring on us. The confrontation and explosion in the computer lab was just so awesomely done. Now, if bloody Ryuji can stop being so undecided and go after Taiga…. especially after Minorin’s relinquishment.
