Gundam 00 ends? … or not.

LOL. This ending is so bad it’s hillarious. Hell, even Gundam SEED Destiny’s ending scored higher in my books.

It started okay, and I was willing to accept the “RIBBONS CANNON” shit. Oh and the Gundam is “RIBBONS GUNDAM” too. And in fact, I can say the action scenes were quite orsm, what with Lyle going out in one-arm-one-legged Cherudim and still pwning that Innovado and Hallelujah finally getting a piece of the action.

But then, Ribbons running away with the stolen GN Drive was so hillarious, I couldn’t stop laughing, and then *poof* 0 Gundam magically appears in front of him.

ADDENDUM: I forgot to mention the scene where Tieria appears nekkid in front of Ribbons and nearly hugs him. OH GOD SO GAY.

[22:57:35] <@Iyn> man, Fujoshi gonna LOVE episode25
[22:57:54] <@Iyn> i was half praying for Tieria to hug Ribbons
[22:57:55] <@Iyn> or something

And Setsuna… god… lol… EXIA COMES FROM NOWHERE and both of them each plug in a GN Drive in to the suits and starts battling. And Marina is like annoying us with her interjection and narration of how she hopes Setsuna will achieve his happiness, bla bla bla until they finish fighting.

After that, cop out ending with everyone coming in to terms with the new world. Lyle taking his Gundam Meister job seriously, Innovado clones all over the world (OMG ANEW IS IN THE UN!), and Setsuna magically surviving and travelling around the world as CB as usual.

ADDENDUM: I can’t believe I forgot to mention Patrick and Kati’s wedding. I would love to see an OVA or Omake of how he popped the question to her.

Tieria is now VEDA, but the last straw is at the end, with the sudden shot of Jupiter and “The Childhood of Humankind Ends” subtitle. I sure hope the announced Gundam 00 movie isn’t a “Gundam vs Aliens” story. On second thought, that might ACTUALLY be fucking win!

Well, in any case, I’m glad it’s over. For now. Phew!

P.S. Just post any spoiler from the manga/sidestories. I do not have time to go and read all of them. Besides, it’s mainly a Sunrise marketing ploy to sell more merchandise by enticing fans to pay for “exclusive” background information. I don’t care about Gundam 00 enough to go and read ’em all.

P.P.S. Since they are hinting the movie might be set on Jupiter, will we see GAOGUNDAM? Or. Or. Setsuna going “FUUUSHION!” and employing ZA POWAA. Shit, my brain is going mad.

That’s because Innovators trained with maphack and aimbot but then got those taken away at the end. But yeah, it was awesome.

All those Innovades are terminals for Veda. Ribbons and gang were meister Innovades. Essentially info-gathering/observation vs Agents.

Stupid of them to have them in without even a hint of explanation though.

Yeah that was a big LOL ending. They didn’t kill any of the good guys, and Mr. Bushido ended up doing nothing. The second round between the Exia and 0 is also anti-climactic like the first season finale. Well, at least Patrick married Kati lol.

Looking forward to the Gundam vs. Jupiter aliens movie haha!

Hey look, I’m sure you put a lot of thought into this going in amirite? I mean the addendums and P.S’s are only what….3 times as long as the original post now and still growing? :D

Hmmmm, on second thought this article is clearly a work in progress, so if I think of anything else for you to add that further proves you actually enjoyed this ending immensely compared to GSD’s despite your initial claim to the contrary then I’ll be back……..then again you already seem to be at your limit and horribly confused about this episode so I might not want to push you over the edge just yet. :P

    P.S: Do you like tuttles?

P.S.S: If I were you I would have just had a picture of Hallelujah kicking ass with the caption “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF” as your final reaction. I just think it would suit your style better.

@Kaioshin: Damn, you almost made me do it. I ALMOST PHOTOSHOPPED A PICTURE OF HALLELUJAH KICKING ASS WITH THE “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF” CAPTION. Whew, luckily I realized I would be falling in to your trap if I did.

And since Tuttles seems to be a Bowling Bar&Grill in Minnesota, I can’t say I like it since I haven’t been to the US of A yet. But judging from the menu on their site, I might actually like it. Plus it has unlimited bowling (incl shoes) for $10 per person!

The combat scenes in the end always end up with both sides getting blown to bits and I have to admit the ‘cliffhanger scenes’ they use after each fight to make you think someone died is a bit overdone.

That aside, I think it turned out okay and I’m looking forward to the movie. Gundam 0 ran out of juice and prolly drifted out of the space ship (it was near where they docked). If you watch carefully, Sumeragi ordered them to prepare to launch something earlier and she was referring to launching Exia to Setsuna even if the other guy said they didn’t have a spare drive for it.

I had no idea what Alleluia and Marie were doing but the rest was easy enough to absorb. I will admit, the ending for s2 had less impact than s1. Prolly cause of the lame way the CB’s ship launch into space was done.

I like the series overall, but it lacked a lot of possible climaxes to make it more exciting. I think they focused too much on being serious.

At least the GSD ending wasn’t so anticlimatic – I mean, wtf, Setsuna and Ribbons (I LOL’d hard at the “Reborn Cannon”, I was almost sure he said “Ribbons Cannon” XD) are going at each other, and bam, stupid Marina starts her monologue… such a mood killer… I had hard time concentraiting on the battle because of the gibberish she was saying :/

Anyway, the ending seemed a bit rushed, I’m disappointed that Mr Bushido didn’t appear in it (I was kinda expecting a situation where Setsuna would be in some sort of predicament and pew pew, Mr Bushido to the rescue, saves Setsuna and have butsekz… :cough:). It seemed they wanted to leave some stuff for the movie… btw, Gundam and aliens? I don’t know…
I still wonder if it’s aliens – the solar furnaces were supposedly developed on Jupiter, right? So maybe it’s just some sort of Veda2 booting up there, now that humanity became adults and can drive around in space ;d

@cmlim: And GSD ending didn’t make me laugh at all. Even with Jesus Yamato not getting a scratch. Really… seeing Ribbons limping away from battle holding on to that GN Drive was hilarious.

I totally respect your blogging kuro but with this post you sound absolutely like some other blogger (coughcough jason) when he bitches on something he hasn’t really seen. did we really watch the same episode? this was worse than GSD ending? my god don’t even get me started there. did you like the battle scenes where they reuse 99% of the clips or did you just miss the 1 recap episode per 8 episodes?

that aside while 00 s2 end wasn’t OMG GaoGaiGar Final end (don’t think anything can beat that) it was pretty good considering the huge amount of expectation this series would have had been a Gundam show.

GN particles = the power of Za Powa ?

The aspect of a one on one duel between Setsuna and Ribbons was kinda interesting. But when you see that Ribbons simply took every part of the gundams troughout the series it got bad.

Then Marina comes in? WTF did they have her for? Lacus had some point in being a good factor for getting Kira and Athrun to understand. But what did Marina do?

    Not much in my opinion.

Just a overall bad ending. They should have ended it with the first season. This second season didn´t do anything for me. Just boring to watch.

Oh well. Next up, Drill Energy VS Solar Energy or something. Evolved humans out to destroy ordinary humans maybe?

Could care less. But at the same time, who knows? It might be something good. Feelt needs to hook up with Setsuna too.

But thanks for correcting. Always nice to find people who are willing to correct. My misstake.

And about humanity? Humanity will either evolve into sitting on their asses ruling the world by brain power or it will destroy Earth and then move on to the other planets destroying them as well.

    One or the other.
