Kanako? Harmless normal person? Yeah, right.

So this is what you call a “harmless normal person”?!

Oh god, is there no end to Mariya’s lol freudian slipKanako’s pervertness? Even I’m starting to find her a bit too embarrassing to be seen with in public, if she was in 3D.

The most hillarious part of the episode has to be second half where they discuss the “bloody pool” where Kanako is responsible for. The part where Mariya and Matsurika role-play Kanako’s delusions was so hillarious because it was so spot-on! Especially with Matsurika doing it in her trademark “devil-may-care” tone. That was bloody hilarious.

On that note, did anyone notice in Ayarin’s flashback, the “Mariya” was actually Aya Hirano? Does it mean that it was really Shizu that ca On closer inspection, the mole is on the other side too, so it was actually Shizu’s fault, LOL. Poor Mariya for having shouldered the blame all this while.

And finally…. bewbs, oh yeah~!

Don’t you mean KANAKO’S pervertedness? She’s the one getting the nosebleeds and imagining everyone in angel outfits or naked. Mariya’s just the one dropping girls so their tops open up.

And since Mariya has a sister complex, he’s been protecting Shizu from Ayarin’s ire all this time. Poor guy – he has that, Matsurika, and now Kanako to deal with. Between this and Hina’s frontal shot in the Hayate OVA…

    That’s a BIG cross.

I never would have noticed the mole on the other side if you didn’t mention it Kuro-sama… So it was Shizu’s fault that Ayarin was traumatized and Mariya and her didn’t get along…

And I agree with Kanako that she is just a harmless normal person, just overflowing with hopes and dreams(not to mention extra pints of blood to spare)…

For some reason, after looking at that last pic, I feel like converting to Christianity… Nice form of subliminal messaging from Shaft…

I wonder what Kanako was referring to when she told Mariya…’it was pink’.

Nice observation on Shizu being the one responsible. I didn’t notice the swap in mole.

Oh yeah…there was a KOSMOS ‘phail’ figurine in one of the ‘collections’ that burst out from the room at the start of the episode. I guess the Dorm Mistress didn’t want to let it see the light of the world.

About pink, probably lingerie – one or the other, lol.

Blood pool was awesome – especially since it IS rather scary if you think about it minus the Kanako-nosebleed explanation :P

I wonder how much blood Kanako actually has in her body…

Kanako is referring to Ayari’s pink bra.
Oh – credit Kanako too for creating the “Seven Wonders of Ame no Kisaki”: 1) the blood pool (made by fantasizing about Sachi, Kiri, Yuzuru, etc. in swimsuits); 2) a permanent bloodstain on the left cheek of the statue of the Virgin Mary (made after she saw Ayari in full frontal), 3) the bloody hand-print near the judo room (made when she sees girls groping when they actually do grapples in judo); 4) the bloody footstep over the athletics track (made when she sees runners’ assets juggling); 5) the expanding alaria (remember episodes 3-4?); 6) the tentacle bag (given by Mariya, of course, which soon took a liking to Kanako); & 7) [actually secret; must be Kanako’s raging lesbianism].
P.S.: Kanako’s blood pool deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records!

    A redeeming point on Mariya’s attitude? …. I agree.

And of course, this episode is all about us savoring Mariya’s supreme-ness and facepalming over Kanako. So much that even we agree with Mariya :D

For some reason, in this episode Mariya reminds me of Nozomu Itoshiki-sensei from another SHAFT anime (and its flagship), Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Nozomu is an uber-suicidal homeroom teacher with insights that prove factual and even valuable, notwithstanding its negative coating. Mariya may be a cruel, sadistic crossdresser, but nevertheless he and Matsurika are the only voices of reason that keep Kanako from crossing the line (which she tries to do so too many times).
P.S.: Yu Kobayashi (Mariya’s seiyuu) also did Kaere Kimura, a student of Nozomu in SZS.

I can recognize Aya’s trademark voice anywhere.

And yes, Mariya is pretty forgiving of his relatives considering his sadistic personality. Kinda makes him cute.

P.S. We need more Shizu appearances.
