The meaning of Nakiami’s name

This really just hit me, but Xam’d's Nakiami is really going to live up to her name and stop the cruel, sacrificial Great Pilgrimage, literally “stopping” many people’s tears. Remember her new name came from a corruption of “Naki yame” lit. “stop crying”.

And Xam’d seriously needs to be longer. Or BONES needs to explain their stories better. There’s a ton of stuff in the world of Xam’d, but hardly anything is properly explained. In that way, it’s similar to Darker than Black. That iceberg analogy someone told me really fits both DtB and Xam’d. At least Xam’d has a much more engaging storyline.

Another birthday post

Happy birthday to me~~
Happy birthday to me~~
Happy 21st birthday to me~~
Happy birthday to me~~

Man, turning 20 felt like it was just only yesterday. And I finally get my voting rights too. Too bad Malaysian politics is such a farce.

Obtw, I also share birthdays with Shiori so hop in to #animeblogger and send your wishes to Guncannon (and me).

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your wishes! My birthday passed by safely, which kinda disappoints me. There goes my last window of opportunity for something really incredible to happen to me on my teenage birthday years. Didn’t meet any talking cats or pretty girls being chased down by mysterious people in black suits :(.

Yandere Imo-chan

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo

Oh wow, holy shit. Imo-chan can get REEEEEEEEEEEALLY scary when she pops. Nonaka Ai’s yandere voice kinda rocks. After hearing her in so many passive roles, it’s quite the refreshing change. Poor Lelouch Leopard suffered quite a deadly battering from her.

That said, Sora Kake is turning out to be quite a bloody good show, with yuri, epic mecha battles and side characters that ALWAYS seem to titillate us by insinuating they know everything but aren’t letting it on at all. Well, considering it’s a Sunrise show, that’s to be expected…

UPDATE: Yes, Imo-chan is scary.
