I used to collect his manga but it was really slow, plus I was running out of space. His illustrations are great. I guess I’ll buy the book for the book covers.

ARGH! gdammit Kurogane. You don’t need to greatly flaunt the fact that you live near(?) a Kinokuniya store whilst others (like myself) can only dream of a such a great thing.

We’re in an age of moe, I think he’s just trying to adapt to that. Still, I agree with you. I feel that his art is suffering from TOO MUCH consistency. It’s pretty damn hard to draw the same thing again and again, but it’s easy once you’re used to it. I wish he’d be more diverse with his drawings, since the style is clean to the point that it feels like each image feels like a rehash of the previous one. That said, it just doesn’t feel as alive to me as it used to.

^ could not agree more – http://kurogane.animeblogger.net/image/ahmygoddess/20th-artbook/ams20_05.jpg shows when the art was the best – from the current tankoubans I’m getting this fanservice vibe… Like Shance said, it’s nice to see skills of the mangaka evolve, but I just hope Fujishima will stop drawing all the goddesses (or rather women) all the same, and try something new/different.

I liked the progressive improvement on Fujishima’s artwork. It makes it worthwhile to know that you follow a manga series that is being worked on blood, sweat, and constant practice. Plus, individual illustrations apart from the already released group ones. They’re a gem to behold. Scan me some, k?

Also, is Kinokuniya bitching on you?
