Negima! 241

Negima!

The battle between “idiots” finally begins.

And… Negi’s artifact is…?

Negima!

Nope. It’s actually a Pactio Card holder that allows him to use his own Pactio cards with the others. Go go Cardcaptor Negi, LOL.

Negima!

Sure, it’s a bit of hax and I’ve heard many complains about how hax it is, but think of this way. Negi’s fighting against someone who’s pretty damn hax himself too.

In fact, he’s only using that to bring Rakan to a fist-to-fist battle, where arguably, he has a better chance of winning, plus it’s more “manly” to do so. Fuck, I’m so falling for Negi.

Negima!

Nothing shameful about Negi getting his power from the girls. Btw that struggling Sica Shishikuro is kinda cute, LOL.

Negima!

The real fight’s gonna be in the next chapter. And Kotarou’s gotten to be pretty damn badass now, too bad he’s not getting much screentime. That one hit deflect of his was pretty damn cool.

    Even those daggers are sweating…

I hope Negi brought some lube. He”ll need them.

You have to admit though. With that card holder, Negi has all the incentive in the world now to kiss as many of his students as possible. lol. Artifacts for the win!

I can predict one of the weaknesses of the card holder, in that Negi can probably only use one card at a time.

Of course, he’ll then spend several chapters training it out.

I wonder if it’s significant that Negi has to spend so much time and energy training, while Nagi seems to be Just That Naturally Talented. Presumably if Nagi had trained as much as Negi, he wouldn’t need that spellcasting cheat sheet.

Kotarou has shown that all it takes to deflect a giant shadow blade is a deep breath and GAR.

I assumed that it is Nagi’s spell notebook until the reveal.
And it looked totally YU-GI-OH-ish when he used Setsuna’s Pactio Card.

LOL, it actually reminds me of KAMEN RIDER DECADED.

I fscking called the artifact ability as soon as I saw the wallet. Yay me!

Anyways, while the artifact itself is pretty hax, against Rakan it doesn’t have many uses. The Hamanotsurugi was quite useful to negate Rakan’s magic-powered weapons, yes… but that’s about it. Nodoka’s artifact would be useless because Rakan is an idiot, and he’s not hard to figure out.

But even then, the only training Negi did was mental/magical, not physical, which means that he’s hiding something up his sleeve (artifact-related or not) if he wants to turn this into a fist fight.

Wait so did he activate that trap card?
    Yes or no? =.=

He’s got that uber lightning spelled charged up (and maybe some more) and he’s gonna release it during the fist fight like he did before by storing magical arrows.

Rakan aside, Negi’s pretty much invincible to all spell-casting-only enemies, heh. Now that he can use the Hamanotsurugi too, Negi + Asuna = 2x Hamanotsurugi = LOL?

What the hell? The last time I read Negima he was fighting a vampire while he was flying around on a broom…When did Negima turn into Naruto?

Megaman0: During the school festival arc, of course.

And Negi’s still being an idiot – he doesn’t need to fight like a man; he just needs to fight to win.

Haha, I guess this does kind of go back to the antiques collector thing too where he was shown to have a nice collection of regular magical artifacts like a magic gun.

It really does, doesn’t it. Hopefully Rakan hands his artifact over to negi when fate comes in. That way we’ll see the other pactio method and Negi performing UBW.

LOL That’d be funny if there was like an Overdrive mode or something where he could combine all the cards into one power.

Before we get to see 2x Hamanotsurugi, Negi still has to go rescue Asuna (and Anya). I wonder what plot point they’re supposed to be for.

  19. Kikaifan Said,

Hamanonotsurugi isn’t a perfect spell defense; Eva still put Asuna in that block of ice right before they left.

While I wanted Negi to get a hax artifact, this is bit too much of a one. Never mind the fact that it lacks originality… Reminds me of Al’s artifact, now that I think of it. Wonder if his shapeshifting came with the possible artifacts of the other person, or just skills and generic “what they wear”.

Anyway, with Asuna’s, Nodoka’s and Konoka’s artifact, Negi is pretty much set to take nearly anything on. Predicting opponents actions, negating spells/summons and being able to heal any damage will make defeating him very hard.

My only question for Negi is… How come he was able to accept a pactio card when he himself is a mage? Isn’t it the princess who is suppose to have the card and not Negi?

Setsuna’s artifact is actually kinda lame. Rakan should have been able to deflect them.

I’d like to see Negi using Chisame’s artifact :-X

  23. Honoo Said,

    @ foomafoo:

If you say so, then it turns out that the princess made him her Pactio partner instead of the other way round.

In which tells me the princess is now Negi’s “master” (the initiator of the Pactio).

Remember that the princess is also a mage.

Okay, I know I’m late to this party, but for me it’s spoilers (It’ll be about 4 months before this is released where I live), and I’ve just thought of something.
If Negi can use his Ministel Magis’ Artifacts as if they were his own, then why doesn’t he simply use that ring and earpiece Nodoka found?
Then he would be able to read his opponents thoughts in realtime.
And then he truly would be unbeatable.
