Haruhi S2 in April this year?

TV ads of Newtype reveal Haruhi new anime in April.

Finally? Now the Haruhi-tards can stop blaming KyoAni for every single non-Suzumiya Haruhi project they do. WHERE IS MY FULL METAL PANIC ANIME?!!!111oneone ヽ(;´Д`)ノ

March issue Newtype should be out by now, we’ll see if it’s true or not in the next few days or so.

UPDATE: Sankaku reports that it’s just a bloody rerun. Hahahaha. Perhaps they’ll do in HD, then we can get a HD KyoAni broadcast finally. I wonder how many times is Kadokawa gonna troll us with Haruhi until they’re satisfied. Maybe Haruhi S2 will be like Duke Nukem 3D Forever for anime, LOL.

lol o yeah, i read that this morning and on sakaku. duno if i’ll believe of not though my haruhi OMG-ness has died down quite a lot since i saw it and rewatched 3 times (though reboosted seeing that one pic of long hair haruhi). but i definitely hope this is true news 8D and yes, where’s FMP!??!?!?!

    yayy new Haruhi.

now instead of complaining about another FMP, i’ll complain about no Little Busters announcement

  5. double Said,

Yes, KyoAni needs to work on a new season of FMP. There’s simply more than enough material from the light novel to be animated. Less KEY stuff plox.

  6. Kaisos Said,

    February 4, 2009 @ 12:20 pm

My response to all this is linked to my name.

FMP won’t be animated until Gatou finishes the damned books, probably.

Which may not be for a while.

And I’m almost certain we’ll get a Little Busters announcement for the fall after CLANNAD AS 24 airs.

  7. man0warr Said,

Yeah I don’t think FMP anime will continue until the current novel story arc ends, it’s been going on for 5 novels now, and only 1 novel is released per year if lucky.

  8. Neo Horizon Said,

Ditto on the FMP. I just finished all 3 series last month (entire first series was finished in 2 days ^^;;) and I need MOAR.

This is like the boy who cried wolf. There have been so many of these that I don’t know who to believe any more. I’ll believe it when someone posts the sub of the first episode on TT.

About facking time… well it’s been so long that I’m more intrested in seeing Little Busters then Haruhi >< oh well Haruhi is awesome regardless.

If you can’t believe Newtype, a magazine published by the company that owns the Haruhi Suzumiya IP, who can you believe?

  14. ithekro Said,

    February 4, 2009 @ 3:38 pm

Because we’ve been teased for at least two years by Newtype already…some are..jaded to the possibility of this being truth….We’ll see in about a week what they say inside the magazine….and then two months if the thing airs for real.

    (I want my Tessa!)

  15. Tokkan Said,

    February 4, 2009 @ 4:14 pm

Newtype never ever stated a date in those “teases”.

  16. The Hordesman Said,

    February 4, 2009 @ 6:50 pm

If I remember right, there are no plans on more FMP at all. I would be happy if it appeared again, but nothing I have much faith in actually happening.

As for Haruhi, it’s done when it’s done, I honestly don’t really care when- there’s plenty of good shows to go around already.

Dammit, KyoAni, where is my season three!?!?

  18. Phocus Said,

    February 5, 2009 @ 12:15 am

If it IS a rerun, the next probable date for airing the 2nd season would be directly following the first season’s rerun, which would on about… July 7th?

orz — Kadokawa, beware Haruhiists. They will find you. And they will be mad.

  19. Rawr Said,

Will there be cry tears of joy and relief when Kyoani finally decide to inform fans that they’ll scrap the second season? Or will there just be cries of rage and anger over the years of cocktease and false hope? Either way, if kyoani does decide to animate a second season, it will have been several years overdue in the eyes of some fans. Publicity is important, but misleading and potentially false advertisement shouldn’t be used as publicity. It does little aside from incite anger from the intended audience. For Kyoani’s sake, I hope that they deliver some concrete evidence as to the existence of a second season soon because I think some fans are getting tired of their cryptic news, and just want closure.

Actually it’s Duke Nukem Forever that’s the one that’s a joke. Duke Nukem 3D came out in the late 90s. But yeah, I’d say that’s a pretty good analogy at this point…heh…switching studios instead of switching physics engines…lol.

Perhaps you guys should check Munto. Just be warned that the four first episodes has been a director’s cut of the original OAV, episode 4 is just like the start of the second OAV, we may not see the new material until episode 6 or 7.

Actually, I belive it’s the Starcraft II of anime. It’ll come out eventually, but KyoAni is probally having disputes with Nagaru Tadokawa on how to create the next season: for, if rumors be held true, it’s going to be based off the 4th novel. Which, in other terms, is going to be REALLY hard to present in anime form. It doesn’t help that they left out Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody in the first season; would it really of killed them to make an extra episode or two? Also, it’s almost as mindfuck as Haruhi gets; the two greater examples woul be novel 5 (the mathematical portion of Snow Mountain Syndrome left me at LOLWUT?), and the general insanity of the seventh novel (my theoretical third season). If they DO eventually make a second season, I think it should include:

-Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody (to start things off)
-The Dissapearance (split into about six episodes like the first novel was)
-Snow Mountain Syndrome (handled like Lone Island Syndrome)
    -Random Short Stories
-The making of Asahina Mikuru’s adventure (one of the last parts would be a very forboding line for my theoretical third season; Itsuki’s shpiel about Mikuru and all (“Her role is to ensnare you. That’s why she looks like that, and that’s why she acts like that: a cute, weak-willed girl, the type you’d probably like. You are the only one who can make Haruhi do anything to any degree at all, thus, the best move for her is to entrap you.”)

And, to finish off the season, an anime-only episode.

Well, that’s how I would do it.

    1. I loved Kanon 2006 and Air, but Clannad really bored me (I liked ~After Story~ since it had a lot of slice of life), I doubt Little Busters will be any better. I’m just saying that the first two KyoAni made were beyond awesome, but, ugh, it just doesn’t work anymore! They’re not sad anymore! Clannad was nothing like it’s predecessors with the whole drama and tragedy thing.

    2. WHATEVER! I liked The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I thought it was really fun and entertaining, but I don’t understand how people can actually love it. There are far better anime in the world. Come on people, stop worshiping Haruhi. Stop calling her God, too. She’s an impulsive girl that barely cares about others. If she did, she wouldn’t bully Mikuru or Kyon (or anybody in the SOS Brigade).

    3. I kinda like the spin-offs better than the original series. Nyoro~n.

Have you read the Light Novels?

To quote Monty Python: She gett better. Right around novel 4-5 she starts changing, and in novel 9 she actually helps Kyon with math homework (with Kyon making implications that this instance wasn’t the first time). However, she reaches her highest Kick-the-Dog moment in novel 2 (but fortunately, it dies down considerably after that). Also, she does not rape Mikur as much as the series goes on (a sign, according to Itsuki in novel 9, that she is calming down, and starting to come to terms with reality).
