CLANNAD After Story 16

Nagisa ;_;.

At the risk of sounding heartless, I’ve gotta say I’m feeling more relieved than sad right now. It actually means we’ll finally be going in to the real meat of CLANNAD’s story. I so do want to know what will happen from here on. I’ve only been mostly spoiled to this point.

UPDATE: This probably sounds crazy, but I watched this episode before I went to bed and subsequently I had a crazy dream of my mother giving birth to triplets. ORZ.

As sad as it is, I’m a bit hopefully that death has occurred mid-season instead of at the end. I’m hoping to see what’ll happen afterwards.

I was praying that just /maybe/ this story wouldn’t have a Key moment…. But I’m with all of you, I’m glad there is still plenty of time left for more story.

Also the party was nice, kinda disappointing that Tomoyo didn’t show up though.

Here’s to hoping the next 5 episodes aren’t just flashbacks and Tomoya brooding with only 3 episodes at the end pulling him out of it and having any real plot…

I’m usually resilient to “sad” scenes but I have to admit.. I… shed a small tear. No other show has made me do such a thing.

Wow… Even though I’ve seen the movie and know that Nagisa is going to die, when the baby was delivered safely and placed into Tomoya’s hands, doubts begant o form in my mind.

Really, maybe Key decided to change to ending for the anime.. Maybe everything will be fine and there will be a happy ending. Yes, that’s definitely it!!… Was what I was thinking.

Who knows, maybe Tomoya will end up with someone else.

Granted, this is sad, but nothing other than “Grave of the Fireflies” would make me shed a tear. Call me heartless, but…

I’m happy we got this as early as we did – since a) Nagisa dies, which fulfills the fantasies of people who don’t like her, and b) if they ended at Episode 24 with this, then it’d be a COMPLETE Bad End, rather than just a horrifying one which may end with Tomoya following in the footsteps of his father.

I bawwed hard. I’m not afraid to admit it.

and now that she’s dead… where’s my Haruhi 2nd season!?

Haesslich: Wow, you’ve been unnecessarily critical of Nagisa lately. Shouldn’t it be ‘bash the Studio’ before ‘bash the OTP Character’? ;)

Kurogane: I play the wargame and am very much immersed in the background of 40k (for all its inconsistencies, ha!). That ALONE should tell you how inured I’m supposed to be to what other people might consider horrific or saddening experiences. However, I still felt my heart ache terribly after watching, and I couldn’t really focus on my (post-grad assignments) for the whole night afterwards. Maybe I still have a sentimental side to me…
