no, I figured Linebarrels wasn’t a real mecha show after the first couple of episodes, but by then it was too late to stop watching.

The mecha is really background to some bizzare Gonzo fanservice show.

Not that I mind, when the Mecha does come around its pretty cool, like this episode, Linebarrels unleashes the rocket boost things out of it’s ass, which was pretty cool-makes me wonder why he didn’t use it for the space episode?

@TJ: What? You still see this as a mecha show? Just because the main character pilots a robot doesn’t mean it’s a mecha show! It’s like saying Kannazuki no Miko is a mecha show!

If the story wasn’t going down the drain before, it definitely is now. It’s still watchable though if you look at it as some sort of bizarre and outrageous comedy rather than a mecha show.
