Minami-ke Okaeri 02

Gotta say, the art quality is really QUALITY, but at the least the humor’s still in top notch. This episode seriously had me laughing out loud.

In this episode of Okaeri; Angel and Devil Chiaki….

Minami-ke Okaeri

…and Fujioka.

Minami-ke Okaeri

“Thou art thy Savior, Chiaki-sama!”…

And “Curry Fairy” Hosaka.

Oh god I fukken died on hearing Hosaka sing his curry song. Even Chiaki got hooked to it… ORZ.

I see you’ve met All Woman Chiaki, as I dubbed her in the manga appearance (including when she stole the angel’s halo). I loved her voices as the sweet kid (no cynicism) as well as the more wanly sound (in which it sounds good). That, and Fujioka watching the tickle fight and still thinking Touma was a guy.

Aside from the animation, one wonders why more people aren’t watching this show?

No shit, I laughed so hard at Hosaka and his song. Expecting to see a character song of that soon.

    Devil Chiaki makes you wanna turn a little devilish yourself. ^^;

That aside, this looks like it will turn out to be a good episode. (Haven’t watched this episode yet…T_T)

And people were bitching about Minori Chihara’s (Chiaki) voice range. Pfffff

    Wankers <_<

They are probably use to her regular charcters…which seem to have dry flat voices. However they are consistent in tone, which from what I understand it hard to maintain a tone (even a flat one) while staying in character. (Yuki, Minami, and Chiaki). I’ve not seen the other series she is in, but I imagine she has more diverse voices…as shown with the devil-angel routine.

Minorin has range, it’s just that she rarely gets chances to express them properly.

Personally speaking, her role as Chiaki remains my favourite. She really has a way of saying “baka yarou” that sounds insulting yet cute at the same time wwww.

@Ithekro: I’m currently in the middle of season one of this show but I think it’s understandable why the majority may not like this.
    The humour’s great… Sure.
    Animation great… Sure.
I’ll try and finish it but my impression so far (episode 7 first season) is that it’s a really relaxed slice-of-life that really doesn’t get anywhere. I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of this myself.

Womanly sound, even… but I loved her ‘devil’ voice – much fuller than it could’ve been, and it (and the devil’s outfit) was very… intriguing.

I’ve got no prob with Minori Chihara’s voice. In fact I like her voice, considering how I’m still addicted to GaRei Zero’s OP. =p

That aside, somehow, I didn’t like the Angel/Devil gag, though thankfully (if that is something to be thankful about) this blame doesn’t go to the studio but to the manga itself, since well, Angel/Devil was from the manga not random additions from the studio.

And yes, everything is better with kimochiwarui Hosaka.
Chiaki being part of Hosaka’s gag was hilarious. Showcased Hosaka’s trademark AND the rare display of Chiaki’s childish side.

Lehq: “Chiaki being part of Hosaka’s gag was hilarious. Showcased Hosaka’s trademark AND the rare display of Chiaki’s childish side.” – what did you think the tickle-fight and laughing was? You rarely see her acting as a kid, and looking like one without the cynical stare she gives everyone. It was horribly cute, too – especially since she and Touma had such good chemistry there… enough so that Fujioka, who thought Touma was a guy (still) seems to think those two have something ‘going on’ as a result. Such physical intimacy and lack of self-consciousness…

I image Chiaki shill views Touma as her “little bother”.

    Hosaka~!!! Damn I love him!
What makes the creator making Hosaka taking off his clothes with no appearant reason? This kinda makes me thinking for a while without answers.

Episode 5: Mako-chan returns, and Fujioka goes the “LET’S BE FRIENDLY” Hosaka route, albeit more aggressively.

Episode 6 is a beach episode with the return of twin-tail Haruka and the pink bikini.
