It seems even cheaper looking than Okawari (which I didn’t mind)..

While it’s still funny, I rewatched ep 1 of the first series, and it was so depressing to realise that the studio doing it now simply wouldn’t be capable of things like “Kana’s Bullet Time Leap Onto The Table”

Lol, okawari wasn’t good but i didn’t think it was that bad either xD Okaeri (how aptly named) seems to be off to a good start.

…. but the first season’s OP is still the best :P

Finally got round to watching the ep and yeah… the cheek-pinching scene… terrible…
But hey, the ep ended off with Hosaka! :D

Why did they change the studio anyway? I have not read any statement about this at all. Think I’ll skip Okawari, hopefully Okaeri brings back the “old” humor at last.

They got some of the directors from the first season to handle storyboarding and directing this time around, so hopefully we won’t be seeing another anime-original like Fuyuki once again. I do like how they used the ‘dowsing’ chapter for this one, especially since Chiaki thought so little about it… until he found Fujioka the Bear.

Now outside of some weird art issues, this was pretty good… certainly better than Okawari was for the first half, or the middle part for that matter. And no blackened faces.. yet.
