Kannagi 13

She snapped. She. FUCKING. Snapped. (<— was half expecting NICE BOAT here)

Ouch, Jin. Ouch.

Anyways, glad to see the final episode still has the humor in it. The serious arc was serious, but it just didn’t felt like Kannagi anymore to me. Good to see that getting resolved smoothly for the finale. Crying Nagi was really… もえええええええええええええええええ!!!

That said I really wonder where she got the black dress from. It mysteriously disappeared when Nagi went back home. If there’s anything, Nagi needs a better variety of outfits from time to time.

Anyways, another nice show finishes. I was holding out for this episode so I could do my 2008 in review post. Please look forward to it here (and in next month’s GameAxis magazine) !

Clear: Quite clearly you didn’t, because you apparently have no idea what it is about.

But there will be a second season, riiiight?

We’ll have to see if the DVD sales do well. What was the usual target of units sold again before a guaranteed sequel? 50,000?

Maybe I’m just too clueless, but this ending ep left so many loose ends it demands a sequel. Or at least an OVA or two. Apart from the sex comedy of errors not being over, she has to save Zange-chan’s host from the clutches of her “evil twin”. I’m all for a little ambiguity about what the future will hold as long as the plotlines of the main story reach a resolution (not necessarily a conclusion), but this is lame. It looks like they had to cut a full season down to 13 eps due to funding loss when they lost their satellite outlet.

I agree, too many loose ends, not enough character development =[
I hope there’s more to come besides the DVD ovas.
    Anyways very very good. xD
