Shirigeya!! Shirigeyaa!!

Shirigeya!! Shirigeya!!
Sougou supaa Shirigeya!!!
Shirigeya!! Shirigeya!!
yume no supaa shirigeya!!

The Kannagi 10 ending song is… amazingly addictive. Don’t you hate those catchy ad songs that get really stuck in your head even though you don’t want them to? Dammit.

On another note…

Kannagi

Takako made me shat bricks a second time, dammit. God I seriously want the full single now. Will they cut it as a single like Akiba says?!

Quoted for great truth :) Although the Lucky Star cameo was pretty awesome too.

I absolutely have to buy all the character songs if these songs are included in them.
And I want to know the members of Shirigetai.

I just watched Kannagi DVD audio commentary. So I’m going into Akiba mode.
Manga author, Eri Takenashi mentioned the origin of name Shirigeya with “bleep”. Since she is from western Japan, probably she got the name from Izumiya supermarket chain in Kansai area. Of course, it’s just a theory.
Speaking of Soybean song, there are 290 food makers listed in Japanese Wikipedia. Some of them mention TV commercials and its actors advertising their products. “Dokkoi” of Dokkoi Foods means “thick” as in thick sauce. So checking actual company names that rhyme or has similar meaning with “Dokkoi” might give us some clue where that song came from.
Or we can wait for a while until Japanese manga publisher, Ichijinsha releases Kannagi
    fanbook or something.

    Correction on the following:
“Since she is from western Japan, probably she got the name from Izumiya supermarket chain in Kansai area. Of course, it’s just a theory.”

Eri Takenashi mentioned that Kannagi trees are from western Japan, so I assumed that she’s from over there. My mistake on that part.
According to her blog, her Kannagi image is mix of Sendai scenery (she lived there one time) and Tokyo scenery.
