Toradora! 06

Toradora!

Ami finally comes out of her shell? At the least she does explode in this episode.

I like Ami more now that she’s not actively trying to pretend to be some one else, in fact, it actually makes me rather sympathetic towards Ami, even, when they reveal that she’s being harassed by a stalker. I understand now why Kitamura pushed her towards Taiga and Ryuuji.

This episode also makes me wonder how Ami truly is. Is she really that bitchy or terrible when she’s her true self? It does seem she acts differently around females and males since she was pretty normal around Ryuuji after the stalker incident.

I think Ami and Taiga’s interaction from now onwards will be quite a fun watch. Toradora is definitely shaping up to be something a whole lot different from what its genre usually offers, especially in terms of character development and relationships.

Ami -is- rather bitchy… but at the same time, her problem isn’t that she’s bitchy so much as she’s dishonest to everyone, even herself. She’s even blocked out Kitamura, which is why he kinda warned Ryuuji about her. Now we just need to see how they proceed from here, since there’s a trip to be dealt with soon.

This show seems better than I though, given how fast they rushed through the first book…

Who knows, maybe I’ll ignore my hatred for adaptations and give it a whirl.

I really hope I get to read the manga’s version of this. It was definitely a nice episode
Along with great near the end. I gotta to say I hope we get more of Sumire (the school president) and her awesome yankee speeches.
