This episode does seem like a good leap away from the perpetual violent tsun of the other Kugyuu roles. There is also something implaceably magnetic about the show. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

@hashihime: It’s undeniable some people do like the overtly tsun-tsun roles she plays, but to me, it’s not enjoyable at all after nearly 3 years of watching them. Yeah, it’s been that long, lol.

As for show popularity, I’m not and won’t be claiming Akasaka is the superior show over Kannagi, and in fact I hate making such comparisons when you’re essentially comparing apples with oranges on which of them has the better IQ. It just doesn’t make sense, you see.

@Chaos2Frozen: Which I why I added the caveat, “to a lesser extent”. Nagi isn’t as bad as Louise or Shana in the tsuntsun department, but when it comes to progressing in the romance game… she’s even further behind them both. At least both Shana and Louise have made their other halves realise their feelings, but Nagi and Hayate seems all but hopeless, XD.

Actually, I thought Nagi was more dere than tsun, but even so it’s not very prominent as the other tsunderes ^^ Especially as the story progess, you’ll hardly notice it at all, the Nagi now is definitely different from when she had started…

…But in any case *cough* Yes, Yuuhi is great :) As long as she keeps up this performance in episode 5, everything would be smooth…

This is my favorite Kugumiya tsundere role, too, and for the same reason: I want more dere with my tsun. But some people most enjoy the tsuntsun part of these roles, so perhaps that’s why there is some negative reaction around.

This show is definitely falling behind Kannagi on 2channel. Kannagi has gone from well behind after one week, to just barely ahead a week ago, to about 5000 posts ahead (43,000 to 38,000) now. In my opinion, Kannagi is just a much better made show, but this has some good serious character interaction, while Kannagi is superior in humor and animation.

Don’t remind me of episode 4 please T____T I can’t remember the last show that made me skip most of the parts, I did pause it a few times when they revealed Minato’s dress hehehe Seriously though, episode 4 made me want to drop this show (the animation quality dropped a lot in that episode too) But thanks to 5 I’m glad to see it progressing well then comes the preview, sometimes I don’t like previews T____T Why can’t it be like Kannagi’s? They just show the title for next week that’s all ^^ Anyways, There are still a few more episodes before we can lay the verdict for this one. I just hope it’s the good one.
