@MooMooCow: Well, the DRM is only a problem when the servers shut down/die/old age, but it's always better to NOT have it. As for the naval units in the game, they are really good and they do play an integral part of the gameplay. RA3 really changes the outlook of naval strategy when playing it, since expanding to sea is a pretty damn important part of the missions and many maps. As for Mammoth Tanks, see "Apocalypse Tank".

>>Which is your favorite faction?

Soviets currently. Allies and Japan are a bit less to my liking, since they need much micromanagement.

>>Did you get the special edition with the bonus DVD and soundtrack as well?

No. I got the DRM-free version, iykwim.

@Silent Ministrel: Oh you'd be surprised at how useful and fun Stingrays, Bullfrogs and Assault Destroyers are.

@Shin: Have fun with your bugged out Oblivion clone!

the Soviet one was rather lame, since the twists were almost similar to the RA2 campaign.

you mean like one guy says the other is a traitor and ends up the person telling you who the traitor is is the real traitor?
yeah.. that was annoying.. communisim (as far as RA is concerned) is the same...

Haven't played the game. The only thing i dislike is some of the unit in the game(base on what they show on the official website)...like the should-be Tesla Tank turned into some freaking amphibious CRAB, paratrooper-cannon APC, or LAND BATTLESHIP. something so out of place like these units shouldn't be in any game, not even sci-fi one.

But then again, this is Red Alert! somehow they fit in perfectly. LOL.

Man I love it... I've only finished two of the campaigns though, and I agree, the RA2 Tanya was a lot better. With how many of Japan's units screamed ripped from anime pop-culture I was scared at first too, but actually I rather like the mix, especially the mecha Tengus.

DRM? Again? I'll get it the buccaneer way, I don't want to repeat the mistake I did with buying Spore.

"Man, the DRM really kills my will to buy this game."

Agreed. Although I still may end up buying it, depending on how fast I play through my 4 psp games I have lined up for me. If not, I'll settle for the original red alert freeware :D

It's good to hear someone enjoyed the game. Some of the forums (a small faction) I visited these few days were complaining about this game (graphic demanding, patch & bugs issues and acting?)...
After you had completed the campaign mode, join in the online battle. It will be more challenging to compete against human players (team co-op very important).
Which is your favorite faction?
