YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! KAGAMI PROCEEDS!

First off, today’s voting was truly fucked up. There were some parties hijacking the voting threads with text spam, causing about 5-7 of them getting closed early due to 2ch’s 512kb per thread restriction, so there was like ten, I repeat, TEN bloody voting threads today. Seriously crazy.

Let’s not forget the fake votes for Nagisa, which shot up like mad on the last hour to 1.2k votes, but Kagami proves to be immune to it. Heck, in fact, winning by 1.1k votes was seriously 100 votes over my expected vote count.

Finally, Kagami for Saimoe 2008!

Well, at least she’s one of the better characters that I would have preferred win out of this year’s competition. I’m looking forward to the (almost) inevitable Hinagiku vs. Kagami Final…

I really, REALLY like Hinagiku… But I would also love to see a Hiiragi-Sister rematch from the OVA… I mean, it seem appropriate right ^^ ? I don’t suppose the KyoAni hired shamans and predicted this, did they >.>

Well either way, I don’t care what people say, this year has been good to me, my only great loss was Shana…

    A beautiful Clannad hat-trick by Kagaminator-chan.
    Here comes Hina ….. I hope :P

Come on, people crying over this year’s Saimoe were mostly the same who were rooting for a Rozen x Nanoha final AGAIN or a Desu repeat. Others wanted to see a change.

lost interest in Saimoe once it became a clannad/LS- fest.

My only interest now is in Hinagiku!!! May she steamroller over the competition

The thing is, Kagami lost votes from the last round. LOST votes. By about 16. Nagisa lost 37 votes from her vote total in comparing rounds. Never mind that Nagisa “looks” to have been fake voted out – this match as not even close to say that she got faked voted out, or that the reported 10 voting threads kept Nagisa fans away (it would have done the same for Kagami). The vote total here is what is important for this upcoming match.

I’ll basically rinse+repeat what I posted over on the MegaTokyo forums on this matchup:

Tsukasa > Hinagiku – I hate to say it, but Hina’s gonna lose here. Most of Kagami’s votes will go to Tsukasa. Not only that, looking at the vote totals last round, Tsukasa will have a 110 vote head start over Hina. Hina didn’t even break 1000 last round, and with the vote totals from the previous match going down, that does not bode well for Hina being able to pick up any new fresh votes. Essentially – if Hina has any shot at winning this, she needs to steal votes from Tsukasa while somehow picking up new voters from the Bamboo Blade and CLANNAD groups, and I doubt that will happen since it seems the Bamboo Blade fans have disappeared and the CLANNAD fans will actually KyoAni-side with Tsukasa and Lucky Star here.

Basically, Hinagiku needs a bigger voter turnout to win.

Should be a good match either way, but if the vote totals from the last round stay the same this round (which is what happened in the last match for the most part), Hinagiku will lose.

Btw Kurogane, In case you have forgotten last year you change “Kagamin to where a cat is fine too after she was eliminated by Rena.” I think it should be replace by now.

I’m anticipating the long awaited battle between the Tsunderes (Kagami vs Hinagiku) not the Volleyball Redemption Match of Tsukasa.

Too Bad Nagisa Lost D: By Exactly 200 Votes Infact XD

Only Hope For Me Is Tsukasa ^^

Ugh faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaillll I don’t see what makes Kagami any better from the rest of the tsundere’s like Kyou or Shana or Taiga etc etc etc. Oh well, I’d back Hina or maybe Tsukasa if she beats Hina if it comes to that lol.

Anyway what IS a fake vote anyawy?

  13. Clear Said,

fake votes are when one person on the same IP votes more than once. What I think is, when you vote, your IP will be under the channel, so they will just review the votes and weed out the extra votes.

    Nagisa…. lost…. Feel so… weak….
    Saimoe…. over……

Ah well, I’ll vote Tsukasa to avenge Nagisa. I don’t like Hinagiku that much anyway.

    >>Come on, people crying over this year’s Saimoe were mostly the same who were rooting for a Rozen x Nanoha final AGAIN or a Desu repeat. Others wanted to see a change.

Damn right. This year I’ve been truly happy to see my favourites reaching the finals.

    >>Btw Kurogane, In case you have forgotten last year you change “Kagamin to where a cat is fine too after she was eliminated by Rena.” I think it should be replace by now.

I would if I could. Something with my wordpress install is preventing me from changing the blog catchline.

Not just that, it’s actually more to votes made with a fake auth code and spammed about. It’s more prevalent at the final hours of voting.

Oh well, there’s always next year for Nagisa. As for Kagami… ALL WIN!!! If Kagami wins this year, I’ll start downloading a ton of Kagami doujins.

Geez, I’m being all broken like hell again.

“Let’s not forget the fake votes for Nagisa, which shot up like mad on the last hour to 1.2k votes, but Kagami proves to be immune to it.”

Um… if people were fake voting for Nagisa, that hurts Nagisa and Kagami benefits, right? I don’t understand your “immune” comment.

  25. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    October 31, 2008 @ 4:22 pm

It means she was immune to the eventual vote manipulation at the end. Meh, take it whatever way you want.

  26. Beruchi Said,

    October 31, 2008 @ 5:00 pm

    @Kurogane
What did you originally mean with “… where a cat is fine too.”?

    Beruchi: Two words. Tsukihime meme.

  28. Derek Said,

    November 12, 2008 @ 1:49 pm

I guess it makes sense from a certain point of view, i.e. you were saying immune in that the fake votes made it look like she would lose, but she managed to win?

  29. Derek Said,

    November 12, 2008 @ 1:50 pm

Although in theory, from what I understand anyway, fake votes for the opposition would get her more votes. But maybe I have misunderstood – which is quite possible, as my understanding of this stuff mostly comes from reading your blog only LOL
